Currently the Hind is my favourite helicopter to fight with. It is remarkably easy to fly, which suprised me given it's based on the mi-8. Even though it's Soviet the switchology mostly makes sense. The selection of weapons and the basic ccip makes it able to kill moderately defended/armoured targets and it has cannon ammo for days if you just need to mop things that can't shoot back. I can go onto Krasnodar Ground Attack and wipe out an easy or medium mission solo with a big grin on my face. Something I can't do in the Huey or Gazelle. Admittedly as to pure flying I prefer the Gazelle and flying with a big group of helicopters I'd still fly one, but you are very limited by yourself. While the upcoming apache and kiowa will both have more toys to play with, I suspect if you have an itch to go strafing people or need to drop troops in a contested airfield the Hind probably won't be beaten.

There was nothing more demoralising in the Huey in 1.5 than looking left and seeing the other guy slumped forward and the tell tale hole in the canopy surrounded by red, even though the bugger never said anything there was something very lonely in that moment.

@@Tank50us You can thank some dumb agreement with the USAF for that. The Stinger capability is for foreign operators only. That said I think it should be included since I'm sure the RAF have longbows and I think the Japanese have the Stinger capability.

Great summary. I am really happy with the Mi-24. I only wish there was as decent manual available so I didn't have to watch "tutorial" videos from someone who has flow the aircraft ten minutes longer than me and is probably only guessing anyway. I was a helicopter mechanic for about ten years and I feel the same as you about them. They are effing dangerous and always ready to kill you.

I’ve been having an utter blast taking it into situations it probably shouldn’t be getting into, shitting my pants as missiles and AA fly past, then dumping a load of rockets onto whatever dared to attack my Alligator. The thing handles great and it only mostly tries to kill you on landing to ensure you’re fully awake.

For the 10 series, Polynesian rituals are the go to, although proximity to volcanos and the availability of virgins to push into them are always a hassle. I may be able to help you out there. You need a friend you can rely on who is also into PCs(and who has a good memory for bullshit). Drop the card off at his place, have him call you (when wife is present) and announce that he ordered a card and 2 arrived despite being only billed for 1. He drops back your card and the long haired generalissimo is none the wiser.
