Seeing as you sometimes work for or volunteer for eagle dynamics perhaps you could remind them that there is a group of us who have been asking for years to have options for night lighting such as creating the option to have more units than the TIGR use their lights, or create place-able lights.

Wouldn't real FARPs use portable lighting? With the release of the Apache, it would be good to see some of this core stuff fleshed out.

this was mother of all tricks! I would never known you can place Tigr in the Container! and I would never known the vehicles will turn on the lights!

Thanks for this trick! I saw this when you first posted and I had to return to this and integrate it in my mission! I was curious.. Is there talk within ED to add 1 light post model at some point in time?

OR use the Massun92´s asset pack for DCS and use the M92_lights to iluminate where you want

Cheers. I think in the past I've tried illuminating areas with vehicles at night like a Willys jeep with no success. Is it restricted to the tigr or can be done with any vehicle? Would be great to have some more lighting assets in game

Yes they need to add lighting they used to put bean bag lights around the pads. Since they pilots have goggles, they can be green or whatever IR.

DCS is in dire need for some simple flood light models. I was so pissed by the lack of it, that I modeled some myself. But they look dirty and to make them functional I had to create a dirty hack. They're basically vehicles and if you mess some of the settings up, you get flood lights that drive around and make vehicle noises -.- Gave up on the project, because I'm not a good scripter and it seemed to much of a hassle to get some clean solution for something that should be part of the basic game anyways.

The standard 4 Slot FARP has illumination of it's own. I have given you the illumination option when using a invisible FARP and building a complete setup of your own.

Real world applications are not compatible in DCS.

Thanks for the tip .. I used to employ User Mods to provide lighting, but your approach seems much better and uses only standard units.

These workarounds are proper 'Gypo'.. Just give us portable lighting!!! This is utter pathetic!
