In basic ground school we learned that pitch controls airspeed and power controls altitude. I haven’t gotten my control stick or rudders yet, so I haven’t tested the real theory in game yet. I hope it is.

I'm just a dude learning how to fly on DCS, but this makes perfect sense. I have to remind myself that when coming into a landing if I want to get lower, less throttle rather than pointing my nose down is the correct way to do it.

Is the airspeed indicator calibrated in IAS? Altitude would play a significant role in in your calculations. Need to break out the E6

Michael Flagg this is true, it is in IAS. Thanks for pointing that out I'll see if I can put something in the description.
