Paul Smolensky, Department of Cognitive Science, Johns Hopkins University, presents a general cognitive architecture which formalizes computational relations between the mind and the brain. This architecture is illustrated in a domain particularly challenging for mental/neural integration: grammar.
Presenting the bleeding edge in Cognitive Science research from SFU faculty and our community colleagues, this lecture series is intended to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and student involvement in research.
