That, or we just roll out with Sparrows until they have a proper IFF so we can avoid the issue of Blue on Blue. Personally, I prefer running Sparrows on Eagles because it puts more emphasis on the aircraft's performance over its powerful radar.

@@macrossMX what performance lol it has long legs and nothing else in the strike eagle model you're not winning fits due to kinetic superiority if that's what you're saying amraam was designed for aircraft like the F-15 because they couldn't carry Phoenix and Sparrows was long in the tooth

@@koc988 I actually mean the Strike Eagle's ability to handle itself in the merge. It's not like you can multi-lock and engage multiple targets with a Sparrow anyway. My past experience in the Eagle shows that it is more than capable of sustaining a high energy fight around 450kts (its best turn rate). The Strike Eagle may be able to keep the fight in the 400-450kts range easily and sustain for longer thanks to the extra fuel from the CFT.

@@macrossMX CFT made it much heavier than F15C, it wont be as good as F15C as a dogfighter. The improved engine wont might improve the climb slighty, but the higher wing loading will make it turn worse.

What is up with the AIM-120 sounding like that? The one that is already in the game is realistic and you can look up a video from the cockpit of a F-15 firing an AIM-120 and it sounds just like the game. Why mess with it?

Strange that you have to manually step to the next target after the missile is fired at the first. The last aircraft I flew would auto-step to the next target in the priority list or you could push one HOTAS button to step to it. Seems a little man-draulic. The displays look awesome and I like the sounds. I’ve never fired a missile from an F15, so don’t know what it sounds like, but in the last aircraft I flew, if it went from the wing there was a Big Bang as it went past the cockpit. For missiles under the belly, you could hardly hear them

I need to get my Super Taurus Control Settings done for the F15 and the FC3 Flankers. Have everything WinWing and the Constellation Alpha from Virpil the the Thrustmaster MFDs then Crosswinds V3 also the TFlight Headset. 2 32 in Curved Monitors with 240 Refresh Rate. I’m not in a group or anything like that. Been by myself since a year ago this past November.

I am so pumped for the F-15E.....RAZBAM please take all of my monies right now!! As a side note, anyone know why there is a little Star of David at the bottom in the middle on the MFD? Is it an Israeli F-15E? Usually in DCS when they are simulating multiple country variants of aircraft, it's just a skin change, it is really fascinating to think of Razbam going so deep into the details that even the avionics are modeled accurately for different countries Also, this has to be TWS mode right? It is interesting, usually TWS mode gets added later in DCS aircraft at least from the aircraft I've flown. I don't even see "TWS" on the MFD, does it even support STT?

I'm going to say it depends. A slick F-18 with nothing under the wings is actually a real hot rod, nearly a match for the F-15C in the sim. I've heard Strike Eagle pilots say that an F-15E with nothing on it flies about like an F-15C with 2 external fuel tanks on the wings. So I'd guess that with a full A2A load out, an F-15E ought to perform about like a loaded-up Hornet. Fully loaded with maximum A2G weapons I expect it to be a real pig. And, unless we have the option to remove the CFTs and targeting pods (which is only done for maintenance IRL) then I'd say a Hornet in dogfight trim is going to eat it alive.
