I really hope Eagle Dynamics makes the Super Hornet into an actual module. The F/A 18F is my all time favorite jet and favorite variant of the Hornet. Love the cinematic work in the video, keep it up!

@@possiblyadickhead6653 Nope. First of all: The F-18E was put into Service in 1999, the Eurofighter Typhoon was put into Service in 2006. The Superhornet entered mass production in 1997, the Eurofighter in 2003. Second: It will be as adequate and realistic as it can be, the CEO of Truegrit is a former EF Typhoon and F-4E/F Pilot. He was one of the first Pilots who have flown the Eurofighter. Yes, we "only" get a Tranche 1 Eurofighter, but we will get the modern weaponry which includes IRIS-T and Meteor Missiles.

I fly the Hornet at the minute in DCS a long with the Tomcat and Viper, I’m a Tomcat guy but i must say I’m really enjoying the Hornet and this video makes me want to fly the Super Hornet.. maybe one day we’ll get one in DCS! Brilliant cinematic video by the way!

Just for giggles I did that in a recent personal campaign, last mission. The intro song played during startup, then as soon as 1-2 speed hit 40 on the cat, music on. I always let 2 and 3 launch first so they don't all have to chase me.

The good thing is that performance wise the Rhino is pretty much the same as the good old legacy Hornet.. it has bigger engines but its heavier too and can carry much more fuel and ordinance.. the extra pilons, extra range would be the interesting part.. and of course simulating the lower RCS and better AESA radar

It's really a superb plane. Sadly, the mod doesn't allow us to use the latests externals wing pylons. But, it's the only way to fly the Rhino ( DCS will never make it, since it's still in service ; a block I (1) would be cool already)

A more in-depth answer, DCS on it's own comes with the SU-25T Frogfoot and an unarmed version of the P-51 Mustang. Every module is available for a two week trial on it's own, so you can do a trial of the F-18, let it expire then do a trial on the F-16. Trials reset six months after you use them. I highly recommend the SU-25T, it may be free and not a clickable cockpit, but it's a very capable ground attack aircraft. If you are hesitant on spending a ton of money for a top-tier module, I suggest the Flaming Cliffs 3 DLC, it's a pack of 7 simple planes, all very much good modules for $50, which is the best deal on the store. Oh also new users get 50% off their first purchase on any module.
