Lots of us running 9900ks at 5.0 or more w/ kingpin or ftw3 2080ti, and while an amazing experience in VR, to have it anything like this (in vr) you’d need a pair of em w/ stereo rendering... maybe a w-3175x with 28 cores at 5ghz once they finish the multi core project. It’s unbelievably hardware hungry game Glowing am does a great job on these though, makes you stop and appreciate how good it is.... even if it’s not quite like this. The fact that people would run SLI 2080ti’s if they could says it all

@@sk000tch6 actually it's the CPU that's pegging the GPU, and it's the engine which is pegging the CPU. We should see a huge increase in performance once they switch to Vulkan, but at this point it is developed at ValveTime(tm).

I used to comment on these videos awhile ago dreaming of the equipment and PC to run this game, I worked my ass of and I finally got it in 2019, now 2020 and I have started playing this game, a damn hard task it is at first but I've never wanted to learn how to use the ingame equipment in a game more than this, DCS is Absolutely amazing and I am stunned almost everytime I load it up, I've been flying my favourite type of mission for awhile now that I made with the editor, Taking off a Carrier in an Su-33 flying a long distance to a waypoint only to successfully and sometimes fail to intercept an enemy, airborne refuelling has so far been the hardest part, I can't seem to get it right yet but I won't stop trying because I am inlove with DCS.

F8 Crusader is coming by Leatherneck/Magnitude 3 studio. They allready did Mig 21 Bis, nailed Christen Eagle 2 and they are wraping F4U-1D. They allready announced F8 was next. :) And we will also get F7 Corsair from Razbam but this time as an asset :-/ But still welcome and who knows ^^

"never forget" all these modules in Early Access right now, and the F-5's bugged radar and RWR for example. Pls DO forget about more and more new stuff for a while and focus on the things customers already paid for.. i like the idea of a F-111 but just visit the Hornet's Bugs section on the forums for example. You'll find yourself scrolling through tons of reported (non fixed) stuff, along with some "later in early access"... yet here we are shouting for more new stuff.

Thank you guys for all you do! I found out a year or so ago I have a disease that disqualifies me from getting a pilots license. I love aircraft since I was 5 years old, went to so many airshows and wanted to get my PPL. Because of my disease this was something on my bucket list that I will never be able to accomplish, however you guys at ED have made some of my dream come true! I've been getting acquainted with the Mirage M2000-C and shes a beautiful aircraft! I can do maneuvers and BFM that would literally kill me in the cockpit. Thank you again for making some of my dream and passion a reality!

To be honest, this trailer makes me proud of being part in the community and playing this "game" since Lomac. To see where we are now, where we have been and comparing this is awesome! unfortunately, the lights add no dynamic shadows :(I hope the multiple source Lightning will be present in 2.5.6, for the moment it's an immersion killer to be park under a "light source" without "received" any light :(

When I was a kid, I built a cockpit out of a cardboard box our new washer came in. I set up my Commodore 64 in that box and played Air Combat Emulator until I couldn't see straight! Now, like many of us, I just watched this video & it really made me reflect on my younger years in that box and how far simulation has progressed! I looked down into my cardboard box, only it isn't a box anymore. It's a Rift S accompanied by a Warthog HOTAS and far better computer than that 64! But none of that matters if simulators like DCS didn't exist. Thanks ED! I'm a kid again in a very adult world! Brilliant video and outstanding work on DCS!

I have to say I never expected it to get this far. Back with Falcon 4.0 I thought it was the last hardcore flight sim financially viable as production costs increased. Ka-50 rolls around and I'm thankful but not expecting a future. A-10C and I hold it tight assuming we can't get more no matter how many people are showing up to play. I'm so glad fight sims have exploded in popularity, the sim community is now a large and vibrant group of gaming. I'm no longer worried that there will be no more flight sims. DCS World has had an everlasting effect on the sim community and I'm glad it has been done by an organisation who stands behind its product and the scene at large.

As someone who's been here since it was just Black Shark in 2010, with no grass and explosions that looked like floor lint, I'm truly amazed to see DCS become what it has, just like how I envisioned it would back then. It could be better (PvE and mission generation, dedicated rent servers, ground aspects and driving vehicles more detailed, ATC part) but indeed it is a great amazing simulator ! Nah. DCSs engine runs on 2 cores. Everything else you see is overhead. Basically, for DCS only, you would need a 6 Ghz Skylake dualcore, and be happy. This is what optimization for ED in "2020 and beyond" looks like. In its core its still the old Lock On engine .. its sad.

The flight models came a looooooong way, so much to the point i wouldn't believe it's the same engine.. well, it maybe is, but still, Lock On was a no go while DCS feels very nice overall

Did you know that in a recent thread I was reading there was a guy complaining that DCS's graphics looked "outdated"? I was in awe just thinking about how DCS looked like 5 years ago compared to today.

@@ca11mekarma42 To be fair, up until now DCS graphics did look kinda dated. The shorelines have always been awful, and the lighting. This is par for the course with flight simulators since so much computing power has to go to the actual simulation. These new upcoming maps look like a whole new level though. Those shorelines on the Marianas Islands map look fantastic! Just beautiful.

Krippz If they created a high-fidelity F-15C I would cry. It would be my fav module. I realize razbam is doing the mud hen, which don’t get me wrong I will get and fly the crap out of, but the Eagle has a solid place in my heart. Flying a high fidelity Eagle with the 67th fighter squadron “fighting cocks” paint scheme = heaven.

Or more to the point the song was a responce by the Cranberries to a IRA bombing that resulted in two children being killed. I like the song but's not the best one to sell a combat flight simulator with when you know what the lyrics are about. glad I'm not the only one that noticed the somewhat off choice by ED's marketing team.

hmmm... art should be up to subjective interpretation, even if artist wants to make statement about certain subject. That is my take. If we make art pice "to sacred" not up for use, change, personal interpretation and kept in it's "pure form"(how artist intended) it will be forgotten sooner or later.

@Gort ; Unlike the other fighters of its time the P-47D had a very large armament though, also Republic built the P-47 Thunderbolt and another plane whose nickname should be familiar to you, the F-84 also known as Hog. In the end the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II combines lessons from the P-47, Hs 129, Ju 87, AD-1, OV-10 and the then new Maverick into one package.
