How to install DCTL?
Drag the .dctl file into your Resolve LUT folder, then restart DaVinci to see it in the list of DCTLs in Open FX. To locate the LUT folder in your system, open DaVinci - go to Color Page - open LUTs tab - right click on the LUTs folder - reveal in Finder (Mac) or its equivalent in Windows and Linux
How to use it?
As a Look Development tool, put it on the last node of your node tree and make all other adjustments on nodes before. If you use node-base color management, put the DCTL before your CST Out node.
What is "Keep Split in Low Contrast"?
"Keep Split in Low Contrast" is applying "HL Decreasing" and "SH Increasing" after Split-Tone.
Is DCTL encrypted?
Yes. Without an expiration date.
What is a DCTL?
According to DaVinci Resolve Reference Manual: DCTL files are actually color transformation scripts that DaVinci Resolve sees and applies just like any other LUT. Unlike other LUTs, which are 1D or 3D lookup tables of values that approximate image transformations using interpolation, DCTL files are actually comprised of computer code that directly transforms images using combinations of math functions that you devise. Additionally, DCTL files run natively on the GPU of your workstation, so they can be fast.
"What’s the difference between normal primary wheels, or the built in curve editor, and this?"
You definitely can use primary wheels and curves, but with this tool you can work faster.
For example, to make split-tone with curves, you need to create 3 points per 1 channel as a minimum (1 pivot, 1 for highlights, 1 for shadow). It means 9 points to adjust. And if you are just seeking for the right look, curves will take all your time. Here with sliders in the DCTL you can build very different looks in seconds.

@@nikita.petrovich Здравствуйте. Пока от Стефана с mononodes приобрел такой же dctl плагин, правда не такой навороченный как у вас. Посмотрим, может и этого хватит. Но на будущее рассматриваю и ваш купить так как цена за ультра версию даже очень хорошая👍
