If you really think about it the entire arrowverse started because of Danny Brick (the aussie street villain from arrow s3) In season 3 of arrow we learn that he killed malcolm merlyns wife. The death of his wife drove merlyn to join the league of assassin's where he was trained in combat, and learned the skills needed to start the undertaking. He knew he couldn't do that with Robert queen around tho so he sabatoged the Queens Gambit so it crashed which made oliver survive on lian yu for 5 years, thus making him the hood/arrow/green arrow. Then he inspires the flash, who brings supergirl to this earth, all their side characters become the legends, etc etc etc
