Gemstone really shines when you get the back mod and the Manacles at 120+ cause you can almost spam it. Gm shield and Hl shield and that’s all you need for tanking, pvp or pve. Obviously Ice is the king of shields cause that’s the mech, but Gemstone has that aftershock thing that makes it more durable when it’s full charged, no durable in time but durable against stronger attacks. It has the plus that you can use it being stunned or controlled and you can’t with Hl shield or Amazonian… Just talking from my experience, I’m an earth tank, but I get your point, it’s not EXTREME or AMAZINT, just stronger with aftershock, same duration.

I forgot GS has a back mod for it lol so yeah that would be nice to take advantage 10% with back mod 10%. Idk if google calculations are accurate for dc but it chops that 18 seconds down to 14.5 seconds which is great. - about the stun part, that is true but that’s why I advertise breakout trinkets and pvp debuff pretection serum colas(basically another breakout) if you are stunned and can’t breakout by spamming block then breakout trinket or pvp cola will do the job every time. -one thing I disagree with is the durability part of your statement all the aftershock does is turn GS into a complete shield. Each crystal are simply damage reduction phases from 1-3, the 4th crystal just turns it into a full shield that’s all it does and it remains just the same as every other shield I just tested that again.

Each shield has its own base mitigation multiplier that calculates the amount of damage absorbed using its base stat in conjuction with your dominance and restoration, using aftershocks on GS increases that base multiplier, it is the second strongest only to the supercharge shields i think off the top of my head. kzbin.info/www/bejne/on_ThZ9niqikaMUsi=O4k5mPKv5gyV0ORO

Hey, I just checked his video and it was interesting seeing the different shield multipliers. But it’s confusing bc I’ve tested them just now and even regulary tanking GS and WW and RR I don’t see a difference, I went up to different bosses with red skulls and GS holds and does basically the same as every other solid shield. I went in cursed Gotham, injustice and pride, Dakota don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but they look exactly the same
