I strongly believe that its open world content. In the cities metropolis and gotham. You have 0 reason to go to those cities once you hit 30 which is a shame.

Blackest Day and Blackest Night were also fairly decent raids and good mechanics, new content just doesn’t feel like the developers are trying as hard or going into depth as much

I think they need to add more to the open world, add a doomsday in metropolis that’s almost unkillable that moves around the city and kills anyone it sees, it’ll make you think twice about where you go in the city, same for Gotham add red death or something

Ppl tend to forget mmos are all about open world content. Wow is well known for having massive quest lines and story arcs instead of just raids/dungeons. But today, dcuo is hyper focused on raids while falling short on plot of the episode. You feel immersed in these other mmos but playing dcuo is just a chore, that’s why I’ve honestly given up on playing. I’ll prob watch vids or play sm but I’m lowkey done with dcuo

Agree 100%, as a new player I don't feel like there is much replayability in most of the content. Both Gotham and Metropolis has so much untapped potential.I look for videos showing stuff before I run it sometimes but most of the time there is no challenge to it. I have begun making videos on stuff I cannot find but there is not really enough updated guides other than your channel. Thank you for your coverage! Love it

You are so right about nexus dlcs replayability. The different boss combo's made it the best. Doesn't even need to be hero/Villian type. Just a couple combinations . Even the 12 artifact RNG with different buffs was a cheap easy way to make each run interesting. Listen up DEVS thanks and haveagood1

I wish we had new feats and missions for old content. When I had to play those for double Source Marks week, I couldn't help having ideas for new feats. I also miss the variety for open world missions. In the older episodes, each npc have more than 1 mission to offer, and there were lots of things to do. Dakota was a missed opportunity for them to brings those back - it's a huge world, lots of enemies and only 6 missions, which makes me think of how poorly they reward exploration nowadays. When the new episode arrived, the first thing I did was fly around to get familiar with the city, because the game itself was like: "take this mission, complete it and then come back for your reward, I don't care". In Metropolis and Gotham, every open world mission we have is in order to get us familiar with those cities. Why is Dakota so big? We can't even live there, and there's so little for us to do.

I would agree with lack of pve based content that’s replay-able in the old world zones. Gotham is so sadly ignored same with anything joker related. I literally only go here for events or exo farming. This is essentially the one and only super hero / villain mmo. I do hope daybreak does a realm reborn with dcuo. I would think they would just make a new game all together at this stage though 🤷🏻‍♂️ pvp is dead and capsules are a p2w sp lock. Some very abhorrent practices going on in this game even still.

🤣. Interesting take and it's cool. But I never cosplayed and here's a shocker..I'm a 43 yr old who plays on switch. I dressed up as batman when I was 12 but that's as close as I got to cosplay and that was my last costume ever.

Origin Crisis was a League killer. If there was one time I was worried DCUO would die.... it was with Origin Crisis. I get that Elite players who want everything to always be more difficult loved it..... but most people did not... and we lost a LOT of players with OC.... heck we lost entire Leagues with OC. I seem to recall Spytle saying that they would never do something like OC ever again. Although... Spytle has been long gone... and we have a new crop of Devs now..... so odds are the Devs will repeat the mistakes of the past. :( I guess we shall see. ;) In theory... it is nice to have a different experience depending on how you run the mission.... sdly more players will zero in on the fastest way to play the mission... and pretty much ignore the other ways to run the content.

Origin Crisis could work better in todays format with event/regular. Since all the mechanics are already in place with a raid like that you just have to tone down the damage. When its your only option you are right it forces the playerbase to need to get better just to complete normal content because they either get better or quit and skip the episode.

Right! I believe simplicity is best not everyone wants to take 35min-2hrs in a raid I remember OC days it was so bad we had to cget in glitch groups..don't even get me started on paradox wave...even in good leagues you run into too much bs to be locked in a raid that long but I think they should make what he is saying about raids as a separate category from more content and elite. As something for an extra mile..for those players almost like SM.

Smaller league halls with open world areas that the league has access to. The open world area can have bounties, missions, etc that the league can do together each week and maybe some stuff requires 2 groups of 8 (16 people). It encourage league play and unity. Neverwinter has this concept. Maybe the league hall can be replaced with a members base. The league leader gets to chose a member base and the league hall amenities shift over to that base. Current league halls are too big and have a deserted feel to it.

They can't get rid of the League Halls because of the Halls of Power episodes. If only we could choose where to place the amenities! I hate how things are so far away from each other and there's no reason for people to visit the hall besides the league bank. They need to choose if the game is player focused (House of Legends), faction focused (Watchtower/Hall of Doom) or league focused (League Halls).

even if the content doesn’t have replay ability they could at least give us variety in our abilities that arent tied to meta changing artifacts and allies. there’s barely any importance regarding skill points or load outs which are staples of the game. seeing old footage of paradox and nexus and watching your character do clips and use abilities that are tied to your weapon makes me wish there was anything else other than these robotic might and slow precision rotations. if they arent gonna add a new power at least make powers more interesting or lower the influence of artifacts

There is a big difference between not having sp and arts and having them. Is supposed to out damage/ run my role better than most because of the sp arts and years of experience. And I believe like in other games you feel rewarded for the grind and you will stand out I out dpsed ppl even before the 200 arts that were more geared higher sp and art it's all about getting better at dcuo in this game to beat the odds.

Sometimes simplicity is all we need in content. With all the balencing work with getting on to run ALL open world content i do5 areas of open world plus raids duos and solos i think it just more content, not how difficult💯 life is difficult enough😅 goodvideo i do think gotham and mtro should be used again i miss all the Activity i used to see 2013-2018

I'm going have to say while replay ability is important DC should never go back to randomized content feats like nexus artifact feat at the (end) of the raid. Stuff like that was more annoying than anything else. Bringing exploration back into the game which is the entire beginning of the game that hooked everyone in the 1st place is a huge thing that needs to come back.

I also think they should cater to the people that prefer solo or small group content as well as the people that like raids. lately Im a small group players, I can not stand pugs these days and really whats the point if its gear and augments that matter and skill points are useless

They really need to, especially as time goes on eventually to the point where if you don't have a group.set it will be hard to impossible to queue on anything but the current activities. It is already going that way.

Definitely. Add an option to q a duo/alert alone. 99% of these things I can solo, except the elites ofc. Why should we be punished by getting out in groups with partners that will go afk in the Second boss, forcing you to restart

I wanna see the clamps revamped or removed , i was see the revival of pvp or get skill points for it. 4-5 dlcs a year should be the standard, honestly. There’s no reason we should keep playing same dlc for 6 months at a time. The other important thing dc needs is a true membership. Many people no longer subscribe to membership because as a premium player you get same exact things. You can’t trade money and you don’t get the “cool” thing on the 21st day of dailies but those things aren’t even important. There needs to be a true membership value to the game, I stopped paying them for that reason. Not worth it

Agreed. Nowadys A-The S Squad mechanic is nearly pointless lore wise as it's the same content more or less, B-The difficulty is just poorly balanced. You either get too easy content or you get irritating crap that just makes the run tedious, Such as the Pride Bounty. Nobody likes fighting her SOLELY because of her running around the whole time mixed with being pulled into the fire twisters from way too far away. The current elite duo is good, But it too has this issue in parts. Turtle Dove is a beginners nightmare. But aside from potentially getting pinned up to her by npcs (bodyguards, etc). It's more Daboom and Ebon that are issues. Daboom can be just tiring due to his shield mechanic. But the real issue is his random stomp attack that if you don't have a heal option ready for, You will just die to without any easy way to avoid it. Which is artificial difficulty, Rather than real difficulty like with Turtle Dove as you can block all her attacks aside from the feather rain. Ebon is so close to being right. He's tough but has tells....except for when he traps you with the mash square attack at the worst time. It takes the ability to do anything about it away from the player. I do miss content with cool mechanics that were legit challenges. Sure. For every Paradox Wave we have a Blackest Night or Clocktower. Where the difficulty was fine to a degree. But the mechanics involved hindered the experience. I mean. Who likes having to sit and wait for ages before being allowed to fight Nekron? Or being stupidly blown off in New Genesis. I like Terrarium to a degree due to it being genuinely tough. But with mechanics that are far less likely to ruin the run. Personally, I think a raid where the bosses are randomized is always a good way to add some replayability. Ace Chemicals being one of my favorite alerts because it is different every single time. With the challenge not being so broken you wanna tear your' hair out. Nor too easy to where you fall asleep playing it. I kinda want a dlc set in Smallville. Have it be restored from after the Doomsday fiasco. Maybe make it Superboy or Powergirl focused to some extent as they don't get a ton of screen time overall even compared to Supergirl arguably. Have one side be either Zod Non and Ursa or Lexcorp as the villain side of the map and the Superman family, maybe with some STAR labs as the hero side and have it be something original story wise. I know that can be tough. But it'd make for interesting content. and either way. Smallville is underutilized in the game by a long shot.

For me what's missing is the pvp, When the burnout starts from the repetitive pve grind, pvp was a great side thing to pour time in. A nice way to take a break from one aspect of Dc to enjoy another, but that's not really possible today since pvp is so unbelievably busted the Devs would need a deity to unravel that mess.

We just need them to fix this game, and do a Swamp Thing episode. Too many crashes, broken feats, broken boss mechanics, etc. Get rid of stat clamp as well. Then this game would be great again. I'm fact, I'm pushing for Warner Bros to buy this game back.

I know some people have said it, but I'm going to say it as well... A big thing missing is pvp... A big part of dc for a lot of players including myself as pvp. You had entire leagues based on pvp. Hell we even had Friday night legends hosted by DC. I understand they don't want to invest into pvp because " it doesn't make them money". But eventually dc has to realize that while it might not make them money right away it will make money in the long term. It would be something that would keep players invested while we wait for a new dlc. You talk about in the video " You get max gear, and feats well what now".. Well back then you would pvp with those max skill points and gear. Pretty much every MMO WoW, neverwinter, ( pretty sure even Final fantasy) has some form of pvp. It's needed in an MMO. What's the point of getting this max gear and skill points if you have nothing to use it on.

FR, 2014 era for DCUO is the best. Where F2P can match the Member's capabilities lol however rn Members are toooo far ahead from f2ps, such a shame game alr. Makes me say and justify that the game is DEAD, also since Daybreak replaced lmao. I couldn't even recover my old accs when Sony still owns the game, I tried recovering it in Daybreak, shit happens, I failed. I just let go of my OG acc and moved on, and still moving on lol

They need to do something about old... collections that aren't not on the broker. So many feats u can't get because of this issue. Fix the pvp content make skill points matter again... stop the artifacts and augments.. this is coming from a 413cr/589 sp so I'm not a noob... change the seasonal for God sakes bring back open world raids... it's so much stuff dc needs. Still no graphics update

Replay badges and Artifacts ruined the game for me. Content will never last with how strong we are. Day 1 dlc drop - Run the new raid elite 7-9x get max renown. Spam open world bounties or reg raid for marks to get op item then playtime decreases (not speaking for everyone)

I have missed feelings. I belive the game needs to have an incentive for players to keep playing and pure grind is not one of them at least not for me. However, the game keeps pushing this direction because is cheaper and less work for them (kill 100 bounties, reset raids x times...). I personally perfect quality over quantity. I belive elite plus should have RNG and drop Op accessories (weapons, necks, rings...) I think the feats has it is arent as exciting as it once was, before I felt exciting in completing them, now im like meeeh. (Maybe a cap for each feat category would make it more intersting?) I also belive the gameplay is lacking, I dont feel exciting playing any of élite content anymore. To me we would only have one elite either raid or alert. People will always pick thé easiest option.

Games just hella boring. every episode is cut and paste daily fetch quests, boring af daily alerts, and since TSW the raids have been not fun Seasonals are just cut and paste again… zero change every year. Yawn. Atleast with Survival Mode and STU that’s fun, but they ain’t ever hardly around. Constant snooze fest Everybody selling their accounts and leaving… but it’s okay have no fear! The accounts with 6-700+ SP and multiple max allies and arts are leaving, but all the people with 80 arts and level 4 Flash ally who can’t follow a mechanic to literally save their lives are all here to stay. All gravy baby!

What I think is effed up and makes it totally ptw. Is the transfer from the old capsules to Universal insertion. Like alot of effing tank guides for example recommend lex luthor as an ally, right? What they don't tell you is that you can't get lex luthor. Oh also a ton of missing completable feats you can't get? Why? Capsules. Yeah if we really wanna get to the roots of dissatisfaction. Capsules. Its one thing to charge, and it's another to try to get a buck. But when ur methods are soo bad that a new player cant compete with say the longest(and I don't really mean like compete). But yeah the shiit and the feats from the old capsules should either be added for universal consumption somehow or deleted. Not complaining anymore or less than one could consider the vid guy. Just saying.

@@Heartscarrs well it's not that you can't stand out as a good tank without lex luthor and I would know cuz I have a tank as a second character currently...I mean there are defense passive allies in the purchase wheel. And it's not really me per se, but it's like alot of games turn others off when a first dayer can get something that say a newbie cannot. It's kind of like watching most wrestling. But for those that may be confused by the reason behind it. It's like this. Obsidian chill makes a "I think this is how to improve dcuo". And the context is to add to improving dcuo from each view. Obsidian thinks it needs more content, i think it needs to address the over capsulation, others each have their own opinion. And yeah not everyone is going to agree with chill or me...or just not care cuz they happy. And I'd dare reckon me and chill are happy. Well it's just a suggestion to improve video I think. But yeah I like ur post found it interesting take.

Not following.....we just had tsw where thete are feats like last knight standing...people just spammed the sh#$ out of them to get the feat and then never wanna go back to it BECAUSE of the spamming. IMO its the spamming that wrecks everything. .

there's been 6 raids with the increased elite difficulty levels. SWE+ is just 1/6. All the rest by comparison are much easier with TSDe critical being the 2nd. It puts SWE+ more as an outlier and not the norm. The raid was never tuned properly from test and the devs just left it. It didn't need to be that difficult at release but it was and it set an example for content going forward.

They need to focus on the ACTION part and not just the maths part. There's no variety in gameplay at end game. DC fans can't enjoy the action because everyone has to be Dual weilding or brawling and there's only ONE correct way to play each power. Nobody is unique when we all have the same loadout and weapon. RPG stands for Role Playing Game. Maths is cool but it shouldn't be the only thing that matters gameplay wise.
