They should close like drybags, especially when they are waterproof, because now they are only waterproof as long as water does not get in from the top of the bags.

Agree with below comment. Close like dry bags but add straps to squeeze them down like stuff sacks. Do that and take my money! I don't care what they cost. There would be nothing like it on the market. I've been looking for this option for years. Only thing I've found is to make it yourself.

Hi Rick - thank you for your suggestion. The main function of thesebags is to neatly organise your gear, with the added benefit of the waterproof material giving lots of rain protection (although not submersible!), especially when in a rucksack. This also keeps the pack size light, as the DD SuperLight material without any compression straps is an almost negligible weight penalty. I can see how this would be useful though, and your feedback has been noted. We do actually stock two sizes of Dry Bag with a roll top, (however without compression straps) for your interest: www.ddhammocks.com/product/dd_dry_bag_10L

@@ddhammocks2418 the reason I say this is: I like to hang my bags outside from a ridgeline. Rolling over like a dry bag ensures a dry bag. The compression sack just makes for less space in your back pack. I think I'm probably going to have to buy a sewing machine and try to make some I suppose. I haven't found anything like it.

@@rickgoggins6517 sounds like a good idea but how would air escape if you try to compress it after it is sealed. Be better off adding some sort of compression straps to this style of bag rather than a sealed dry bag

@@BlueKnows it would be so you could use them either as a dry bag or a compression sack....not at the same time.
