I dnt know why but i cried so much listening to dev sahab's story of immense humanity n kindness. Such gems of human in true sense are rarely found. I was never ever a dev anand fan nor had watched his single movie. But in past few days i have watched around 12 movies n i have become his die hard fan. I missed so much all these years. I realized who he was after he is gone. I wish i had the chance to meet such a person with whom i feel i can relate in some way. You are lucky to have met him.

Very easy to believe what you say because we've heard such incredible stories about Dev Anand from others too. A friend of mine, not a film buff, and not the least an admirer of Dev, met him on the locations of film lootmaar, a place near Shimla. What he told me stunned me, coming from him. He said he has never met someone who is a celebrity but so down to earth, who would get into deep conversation with someone who was a stranger on a wide range of subjects. He knew I was an ardent fan, and he said I don't know much about his films but I am a big admirer of him as a person, as a human, as a learned thinking man.
