In Australia if your head is cracked and not repairable, it is not suitable as a core. Unfortunately this means without a core, the cost to get a new head rises by $2300. There is an alternative however, and that is to use a Mercedes Head which suits the DD16 equivalent motor used in the Actros. It is identical in every way. I used it in my DD15 and it is fine. It was also cheaper than the DD15 and doesn't require a core charge.
