I do not know Turkish or Korean but I know the story here. The Turks are a great nation with a gripping history. Turkish soldiers fought in the Korean War; they fought furiously, with bravery second to none. I once spoke to an American veteran of that war who said that if a coward saw the courage of Turks, he himself would want to do the same and would become a brave man too. The kindness of the Turks to this woman will live on forever.

I couldn't stop crying throughout the segment and Mr. Schleiman and many other Turkish soildiers have done a noble work for the Korean people. We were living in despair during the Korean War and the Turkish troops, not only they had fought against the communist aggression but also had shown us a human decency by collecting and taking care of those poor kids who had otherwise been killed if ignored.

I am deeply touched watching this video. Ayla cried the cry of a child have just found her lost father. The lost time was 60 years and the child now is 65 but regardless it's still the cry of the five year old. the tears had been held in her heard for over 60 year now can go and water their love for each other. It must have been gratifying for both father & daughter. Although it looked cruel to leave her behind after the war but it all work out for the best.

part 1: The old man is Suleyman, he is one the turkish soldiers who fight in korean war. During the war he found a little, scared, alone girl whom both father and mother were killed. He brought the girl to military camp, cleaned and feed and she were named Ayla (which means moon). Suleyman and little girl stayed together 1 year. After end of the war, Suleyman back to Turkey and left Ayla to Korean soldiers. Since that day (about 60 years) the did not see each others and had no contact.
