In early 2000, George Acosta was the resident deejay at a club here in Miami called Shadow Lounge. He would wear a cowboy hat and the booth was high up. All of a sudden he would start making hand gestures that would signify that he was about to blow are minds. The track would get NASTY dark and then the banging would go off the charts. Those were the best trance days Miami has ever and will ever see.

George was the resident DJ at shadow lounge, my x and I were regulars there due to the fact we were friends and would not only go to support him but to get our minds blown as you so very well put. Edgar V came into the mix later on. I will never forget celebrating my 30th Bday in our regular VIP table amongst family, friends and the earth shaking sounds of Mr. Acosta in Nov of 1999. Miamis.music scene was raw, real and popping as Ultra would aet the stage for our yearly pow wow of true electronica giants. Great memories of amazing times. 👑😘👌🔥💥

Acosta was the first dj i got really into, living in florida at the time. he had a show at the ocean club in jax beach that i listened to from outside the club on the sand, wasnt old enough to get in at the time, but i was gonna hear him live no matter what.

He mixed Trance Nation volume 2 by Ministry of Sound. The other c.d. was mixed by ATB and that was my first excursion into trance. after that I bought the lost world c.d. and I haven't looked back. I discovered Nic Chagall through one of his c.d.s and henceforth Cosmic Gate if it wasn't for George Acosta who knows what awful dance music I would be listening to.
