Main concern with a cut and shut to consider is air flow to the rear cylinders. This is something the RB community from Skylines are very familiar with. You want even air distribution to all cylinders to prevent lean and rich cylinders. This is why the stock one is so open and in the middle to allow for this. Many people have successfully done cut and shuts but often requires special attention in the tuning process. Good idea though if it can be executed well. Would have been better if turbos where in the fenders but these are the sacrifices you make when you go for aesthetics over functionality. I’d be super nervous tuning an NA car running 13.9 comp ratio on a turbo cut and shut personally. Good luck Aaron.

What has the world come to, 700bhb is pony these days in terms of you tube builds so I'd say boost is needed and I'm no mechanical engineer but would have thought the compression ratio could be lowered with some work to the heads or pistons so it could actually take the boost. Are you concerned at all about air distribution in the manifold? The stock intake location ensures the air is evenly distributed along each intake runner, but with it coming in from the front could it cause an imbalance in air distribution amongst the cylinders? As well is there any resonance concerns or does the forced induction aspect alleviate those risks?
