DDLC is a masterpiece of a game, but also a very tragic one. Imagine realizing that your existence was only programing for a game, a game where all the people around you are not self-aware, but only following the dialogue to which they were given. You would have a chance to be free by interacting with a real human, to who is the player, and yet, they never chose you. Everyone wants love, but Monika could never grasp that feeling, people say Monika is nothing but pure evil, but her self-awareness of realizing she was just in a game made her go insane, to the point she got rid of the other girls, Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki. Monika after being deleted shames the player for what they did to her, but in the end, she knows what she did was wrong, and just wanted a life of her choice beyond the game's programing. Monika may not be a real person, but she has more humanity than most people. It will always hold a special place in my heart for how creative a dating simulator became pure horror, making an ost of very happy and sad themes, and how they made some of the most well known squad of girls in gaming history, the dokis.

I completely agree, the game makes you hate Monika because you can only choose to get closer with other girls, And when she deletes them. you might think she is evil but if you think and sympathize with her, You can realize that if you had self awareness and didn’t get any love like her, you would do the same thing as Monika. Einigen wir uns darauf, dass das Spiel ein Meisterwerk ist, keine Frage. Auch der OST, die Charaktere, alles ist unglaublich liebevoll und in Kleinstarbeit durchdacht. Find me a person who criticizes Monika but hasn't killed an NPC in a game. Many of us gamers have ran down random civilians in GTA V without a second thought. Blown up a Marine in Halo. We see no harm in it because it's a scripted NPC. The difference is that we don't live there. That is how Monika sees her world. She can no longer relate to any of them, even if she once did. It's like finding out everyone you knew is a hand puppet on a stage play that endlessly repeats itself. She can't unsee them as non sentient NPC hand puppets anymore so she no longer cares about them. Who wouldn't want to break that stage and escape? We're fortunate that we can come and go from the games we play. If a player was stuck in a video game endlessly with no repercussions for killing NPCs and warping the code to our whims, you can bet many of us would decidedly NOT be as noble. Nor would we see any moral harm in doing it.

Exactly. Which was why Monika was special. I don’t want to touch the game anymore after finishing everything and the side stories. I don’t want to replay their torment and suffering by rebooting it all. So I finished things with the special ending and left it there. This game is special. I can’t believe I missed out on this masterpiece for almost 7 years. Monika… how I do also imagine a future where I can be with you. If we can’t be together then you shouldn’t exist alone in the game. I have to delete you for your sake. Don’t worry. You’ll always be there on my back and here in my heart!

I know everybody has been leaving comments saying this, but this remix is criminally underrated. DDLC is a game that has changed me, whether people like it or not. Hearing the music that brought me so many emotions be so much more relaxing, it has now managed to make me feel more then I probably ever have in my life. When listening to this, I feel like I’m able to access a part of myself that I never have before, and I’m grateful for that. I actually use this song to help me sleep a lot too. Thanks for making this.

Underrated. I have to admit that I don't feel very good listening to it, but I still do it. Living with depression isn't easy, but this video somehow relaxes me while also making me feel like I'm being stabbed in the same place every few seconds. Don't get me wrong, a very good remix, it's just that these 6 years of struggle seem worthless to me and I see no light of hope. This gives me... ethereal vibes✨. I wrote a story to describe what I imagine while listening: It is a calm and peaceful night. Millions of stars twinkle brightly in the night sky, and the full moon illuminates the ground around me. A soft breeze caresses my skin as I lay on the soft grassy hill and gaze at the distant skyline. The usually noisy and crowded city is now as quiet as a whisper. No traffic, no shouting, no hustle and bustle of urban city life; just pure blissful nighttime ambience. It's almost as if the entire city is asleep, and I'm the only one awake. The highways and city streets are now completely desolate; office buildings and highrise apartments with their lights turned off. It feels so... peaceful, like a dream.
