This chart is a man fight in it's purest form! No gimmicks, no slow downs or speed ups, just high bpm and volume. Can you dig deep? I want this to be my first 19 I pass! This might be one of the easier 19s due to the former mentioned reasons, but you still gotta put some respect in your voice when you talk about Lachryma CSP due to that bpm. I love it. @@Latias38 Thank you. :) I've been wanting to tackle 19 Singles but I'm not very consistent with 17s yet. However in Doubles I'm horrible at I can't even play 10s. lol For Singles I'll probably tackle Max 360 first since I still need to improve my stamina and it'll be good practice for it. For Doubles It'll probably be a couple of years if I'm lucky to even try to tackle a 19 but I would try Possession first just for being a different 19.

And so we have the first BEMANI crossover 19. It's a definite beast, that's for sure. With the long 16th drills replaced with full on streams, the 12th streams becoming more harrowing, the final one possessing (dougetitlol) jumps at every dominant beat, and the charting getting a bit more complex from the 18, this is sure to get even the very best DDR players. That being said, the lack of gimmicks/consistency of the BPM keeps this from being harder than ENDYMION. If anything, it's at least tied with Valkyrie Dimension and Over the "Period" in overall difficulty, and being harder than the remaining 19's. MAX 360's larger stepcount and wider BPM range mean nothing when the patterns are relatively straightforward, whereas Lachryma may be somewhat straightforward, there are still areas, like the crossovers/Scoobies, that will catch you off-guard if not executed right.

My opinion on 19s Paranoia revolution: Basic patterns, a few streams. Probably easiest 19. Valkyrie dimension: Starting stream can hurt scoring difficulty, and last speedup can too. Easy but inconsistent. Egoism 440: Lots of streams, with some easy to combo breaks in between. Last stream is pretty hard. Very easy 19. Over the period: Very easy at the start, starting stream is easy to read, many breaks. Pretty easy. Endymion: A lot of hard parts, strange jumps, and only one break. A hard 19, but not the hardest in the stepmania selection. Max 360: So many streams, ending stream can be difficult, and also only one break. A medium difficulty. Lachryma: Plenty of streams, step jumps, and hold breaks. Not as hard as endymion but still pretty hard.

Easiest, it’s a denser elemental creation in terms of how hard streams are, with a couple longer bursts of fast streams and the (admittedly) disgusting jump stream near the end. Also step count massively inflated in the 449>514 (65 steps) stream at 1:04, 659>694 (35 step) streams at 1:31), along with all the other simple step patterns throughout many of the fast bits in the song, which is most likely why it got rated as a 19 in the first place.

I was writing a comment about how close Lachryma and Endymion are to a 20, and actually decided to change the perspective of the comment: What do YOU guys believe will create a 20? Let the imagination flow on this one. My take: 220-250 bpm, a TON of crossovers, hard sections with freeze arrows (like in Paranoia Revolution but with some twists, maybe even with stops like in Valkyrie Dimension), 16th notes and maybe some slowdowns and speed-ups (like 0,5x and 2x, to make it very hard to define arrow speeds). Stepcount around 1200. I'd love to know what you think! Write it down here.

an extra thought: I'm sure it'll have dense jump sections like this one and Endymion have at the end, but they'll have ghost notes in it, and it'll be in triplets. If I could build a 20 Frankenstein, it would have: OTP's variety of BPMs; Lachryma's jumps; PARANOiA Revolution's freeze arrow patterns; Valkyrie Dimension's ultra fast sections (and the penultimate section with some random jumps); Endymion's crazy last section (the one right after the slowdown); and Egoism 440's chaotic stops. The levels: Beginner 12 Basic 15 Difficult 17 Expert 19 Challenge 20. Maybe one day... who knows.
