@@pigfish99 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIPRqpybbrxpicU at 1:54, it's one of a kind chart, it maximizes the use of grace periods for freeze arrows by "foot switching" the freeze. it's also used in Max. (period) Challenge it's similar but different from this one

Seriously this is my first time seeing a gimmick that I was totally ready for. Feels good to not need to learn new muscle memory for this.
@sunnyday83002 жыл бұрын
Fun chart, but unfortunately extremely hard to read in-game since the DDR engine doesn't color freeze arrows with their quantization color. This makes the freeze section look like one long freeze arrow, and it's very hard to tell when you need to press it again unless you've memorized the rhythm.
@anonony90812 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Stepmania shows each success freeze in the color of the main arrows. Much easier to read. Edit. Just noticed this video is from stepmania of course lol
@xiexingwu2 жыл бұрын
It's part of the gimmick.
@VideoGameStarChannelSupreme2 жыл бұрын
@@xiexingwu This, the reason some freezes are placed where they would otherwise have no effect is to confuse the player that has grown dependent on quantization coloring. Mind you Pump it Up only colors arrows by their position on the pad (up, center or down), so it's even worse.
@itspim-tk8ow Жыл бұрын
It depends on the exact arrows you’re using in Stepmania. The ones I’m using are DDR A rainbow replicas and they don’t color the freezes.

Tried this at the arcade and was surprised how far I got on my first try... definitely a very easy 17, even with the freeze gimmicks (which aren't even that bad, to be honest).

Nah dude, this is definitely a higher end 17. Compare this chart to Triple Cross, an actual lower end 17. I know for a fact that Triple Cross is on the lower end because I can pass it 😂

@@meowskull no...? am i missing something here? because as far as i know deep tendon reflex is (currently) an extra exclusive song, so you HAVE to life4 clear it

@@2ds. oh I didn't know that lol, I rarely have access to even a white cab still on a20+ so I haven't played a3 yet. I was just talking about the chart being a difficult 17 regardless.
