DDS Function Generator Review UDB Series (UDB1102, UDB1103, UDB1105)

This review is applicable to UDB1102, UDB1102S, UDB1103, UDB1103S, UDB1105, UDB1105S function generators.
In a nutshell, all support square/triangle/saw waveforms up to 1Mhz (NOT more...even for 2, 3, and 5Mhz versions). Anything over 1 Mhz is very poor quality for these waveforms.
The maximum sine-wave frequency supported is 2, 3, 5 depending on which model you purchased.
The "S" models have the scan feature. Start and end points are configurable, as is the time from start of scan to finish.

I would be interested to know if it can run at an offset, say from 0 to 9v so it could be used as a multi-frequency zapper-type device.

I have the 8 MHz version of this signal generator and I agree with Paul about the 1 MHz limit, don't buy one with more bandwidth than that, it's not worth it. Anythin over 1 MHz is badly distorted...

anyone know which software have AD 9834 part model as I cant found Ad 9834/ dds chip model in psice,so I cant run simulation.

Greetings, I just purchased one of these signal generators. I am by no means a technician so i have a question for you. How do i send a square wave signal feeding through an audio amplifier and on to a switching coil? And,.....what is the TTL function for? Perhaps we can have email dialog on this device? A little help please?

I've seen these for as low as $58. You can't even make your own for that cheap by the time you buy the components, cases, etc., and then the time it would take to build and test it.. The "miracle" of cheap stuff from China, and their essentially free labor..
