Robb G. DDT wasn’t FDA approved. The FDA only approves medications and food chemicals. Hence the name “food and drug administration.” There was no organization to control DDT use until the EPA came along. The right is now trying to ban the EPA, essentially legalizing DDT use again. Nice try though
