Are there situations where it's beneficial to have lane equilibrium pushing out?
@ZQuixotix3 жыл бұрын
If you want to hit level 2 quickly and then try to fight, pushing the lane is good. If you plan to pull right away, it can be alright too (though a little risky). I personally prefer to avoid pushing in most cases in pubs games. I think with a coordinated teammate, you could definitely make some tactical plays pushing out fast, but that's tough in pubs

Lets be honest, the first and most important mistake there was to pick a spectre into a viper/axe lane, he literally counter-picked himself, especially knowing he would have a melee support.... That pick lost the game. It was probably a party game, that axe went 4 specifically to help viper getting kills.

In what situations should a support choose a ghost scepter over an Aeon disk? Vice versa? I know the cost is very different but what other considerations should we look at?

Is their damage mostly magical? Will I have enough time to react with ghost or do they have an instant disable?
@JosePerez-ug9hy3 жыл бұрын
Classic examples: The enemy team has a PA? You get ghost scepter The enemy team has a techies? You get aeon disk
@nyx40743 жыл бұрын
If your enemies has lots of de-buff, disable, magical and stuff go with aeon disk (for example enemies consist of PA, Ember, Tide, Tiny, Grimstroke. Lots of slow, stun, disable and burst). If your enemies physical heavy team go with ghost scepter (for example enemies consist of slark, WR, NP, SB, Omni).

Hey ZQuixotix, do you coach?
@moonjellying6973 жыл бұрын
He coaches through his patreon, but the spots might be filled already?
@ZQuixotix3 жыл бұрын
I offer coaching through Patreon! You can also message me on Discord to talk about it. I can't schedule anything right now because I'm in the process of moving, but maybe sometime next month I should be a bit more available

I know it's a bit rediculous to consider. But I'd highly recommend changing your name in some way. Even when you said it I couldn't even say it back lol. Even just ZQ would be cool imo but up to you obviously.

I recommend this guy to everyone I know looking to get better at dota and I can't remember the name ever so I have to open youtube every single time.

I knowwww I'm so stubborn though haha. I get enough messages about it that I do realize there's some value in rebranding the name a bit. I just can't decide what I want to change it to that I'd still be happy with. I'd go with my own name or ZQ maybe, but I'm not sure if the channel is big enough that those would pop up if you search them vs other existing channels. So I'm currently stuck in a loop where I can't decide what to do about it yet

@Gustavo Araujo How about subscribing so you don't have to search your history anymore? Because for me I don't need to search, his name is on the left of my screen.

@@ZQuixotix ZQXX or something? Or you could put the channel's initials next to your current name so that people can just say "check out zqx to learn hard support."

Fantastic video! I am now wondering what does one do to keep the opposite lane pushed? Every time I play and the lane is pushed, it eventually evens out. Pushing back to the safelane tower. If pos 3 were to hold the creeps near tower the other team jumps on him while im rotating and he dies. More videos on how to take advantage of the enemy mistakes would be fanstastic!
@ZQuixotix3 жыл бұрын
Usually the lane WILL push back out towards the safelane again. The exact reason why doesn't really matter, but it's sort of explained in the Pulling 102: Creep Equilibrium video if you want to know more. To get it to not push back out, you must maintain more enemy creeps than your own. However, if there are too many enemy creeps, it will push in to you and likely die to the tower, resetting equilibrium. There's a balance of how many creeps you want to have, but I'm not quite sure on the exact amount because I usually play that by feel. I'll try to investigate exact numbers for a future video. What this typically looks like though is that you will hit your own creeps first when your next creep wave joins the current equilibrium, then you'll probably need to hit the enemy creeps when their next wave joins in to balance it out.
