I don't like De La Hoya post retirement, but in his prime, De La Hoya was one of the greatest fighters in that era. And he never ducked anybody. He'd fight anybody and most his fights were exciting. He's a true legend for sure.

definitely not at Jr middleweight or middleweight he was everyone’s bitch there… Canelo despite being shorter has even fought at 175lbs and had some success like beating Kovalev, Canelo got schooled by Bivol sure but imagine Oscar vs Bivol? That would’ve been an early tko for Bivol Oscar couldn’t handle Hopkins, Felix sturm and Mosley lol… No chance in hell he’s beating Canelo he will get tagged.

Yeah in the lesser weight classes, at 140-147, at 154 he was decent and at 160 he had no business going to that weight class 🤣 he even looked out of shape and didn’t carry any power. Prime Canelo is a 168 pounder, shit even Ko’d Kovalev at 175lbs. Oscar could never hang more than 6 rounds with Gennady, Callum smith, Jacobs, Plant, Kovalev etc… he’s too small. Gennady would do Oscar worst than Kell Brook lol… Watch Oscar vs Felix Sturm 😂 Oscar got outboxed, bullied and push around by a no name 25 year old kid at 160lbs… Canelo would absolutely murder him at anything over 154lbs and those are the facts. Prime vs prime Canelo is a much stronger fighter despite his lack of footwork.

So your saying those British fighters were better competition than what DLH faced in his prime. Ike Quartey, Pernell Whitaker, Trinidad, Sugar Shane Moseley who were ALL PPV stars De La Hoya was the top guys even with all those losses. Where are all those bums canelo fought? Don't you think all those British fighters canelo fought would've catapulted their careers? Where are they now? Did you forget supposedly the "GOAT" of this generation is Floyd Mayweather who fought in 154 and lower weight classes? He fought a weak kovalev who took that fight 1 month notice. 😂😂😂😂 That's your champion who loves to have the advantage and fight weaker opponents like all those cab drivers that held a belt at 168.😂😂😂😂

I think you meant Oscar would've got smashed. Oscar was an amazing WELTERWEIGHT, but Oscar got smashed twice in His Career. One could argue Canelo got hurt once his whole career went up against much bigger punchers than Oscar. A prime Oscar for sure would have given Canelo a lot of problems with his movement. I could see him getting a possible points decision if it was at 154 over Canelo but not smash him. In all likelyhood in this fantasy bout, Canelo breaks him down to the body before ending it late.

One of the best. Scared. Your as mad as a hatter. Suppose your a gun mate. What don't you go tell him that.

De la hoya was no where near as powerful as canelo is. He is just more slick but canelo packs 2x the power of a prime de la hoya. Also remember that de la hoya hates canelo so hes obviously going to say this hes just salty 😂
