As a United fan, I was at peace with the outcome of the penalty shootout before it began. I’d seen my team run themselves into the ground for the shirt, the coach and for us fans. Getting to that shootout after playing sixty or more minutes with ten men was a win in my books. Call us small time for celebrating that, but I would be more accepting of our league position if I’d seen our team go out there and die trying every week. Amorim has drawn his line at 100% effort and it’s beginning to dawn on the squad that that’s the minimum expected. Long may it continue.

Odegaard isn't even half the player Bruno is. I could never respect a 10 that hides from responsibility and is scared to play a forward pass. He's embarrassing and Saka has carried him his entire career at Arsenal. Odegaard is in conversations with Maddison and Gibbs White not Bruno and KDB. Peak Bruno walks into any team in the world. He doesn't get into City with KDB but the reason Bruno plays risky is because he's always been in a team where he's the ONLY creative player so for anything to happen he needs to be the person to make the pass.

As a united fan- Bruno is not that guy… his ability to produce moments or stat pad leads people to think he’s better than he is. Truthfully his style fits what United have been in recent years- a cup team. That is much like Bruno can be crap for a while then suddenly turn up in a moment in a game united can be crap for a while then knock a team out a cup to win. This is why United have won 5 cups post fergie but haven’t been anywhere near a league title… you need to be constantly good to win the league, but you can win cups with moments in a game, luck , or an occasional good performance.
