guys. please take a look at Aurelia. it's already production ready and also have support to things like KendoUi, materialize etc. it has its own Cli and really simple to use with ES6, typescript etc.

Hi Vikas. Aurelia is really nice ! I know a bunch of really smart guys who love it. Our enterprise customers tend to prefer Angular or React though as they have far greater adoption - which means greater community support and a larger pool of devs to pick from.

I'm a bit confused, as I thought A2 is not production ready. Are people and businesses ok with that?

the answer is that a lot of these businesses/government agencies that are early adopters of A2 were already invested in A1 and expected a similarly high quality framework in A2. Basically it's just trust as a result of brand recognition from historical results.

SemanticUI is only real competition to Bootstrap. I would already use it, but unfortunately it doesnt have DateTime picker component which I use in my applications very often.

Vinayak Mukherjee yeah that's how I'm using it currently, but it's not playing well with typescript. It's functional, but it would be nicer if we had a decent ng2 support like bootstrap

I won't say Angular 2 is easy to learn, that's really patronizing.

I'm sorry if that didn't come out right. Our point is here that day to day, the component model and Angular 2 sytnax is fantastic to work, and much easier than Angular 1. With Angular 1 there was more complexity involved in writing and structuring your application. (Angular 1 Directives ! ) There are a few big things you need to get your head around first though: RxJS, Modules and the Unit Testing framework. They all involve a significant learning curve.. but once you have them, writing Angular 2 is a fantastic experience.
