The intervention and the recovery after De Quervain Malady
The intervention is performed under day care hospitalization and the patient spends about 2 hours in the Clinic. The procedure is performed in local anesthesia and is completely painless.
After the anesthesia , the surgery takes about 20 minutes.
Immediately after the surgery, the patient receives a list of specific recommendations.
The maintenance of the operated limb in an elevated position and keeping an elastic contention is mandatory. The fingers moving starts immediately after the intervention, with progressive loading, so that after three weeks you can completely retake your usual activities. Force activities must be retaken after two months. In some cases, physiokinetotherapy recovery is necessary too.
The disappearance of specific pain occurs immediately after surgery.

Buna seara ! Eu pe data de 21 martie am facut aceasta operatie si in momentul de fata am aceleasi dureri. Mi s-a spus ca a fost o tendinita cu o foarte mare inflamație. Mentionez ca era cronica ,avand dureri timp de 6 luni de zile si mi s-au recomandat doar antiiflamatorii, orteze,șine cu ghips pana s-a luat decizia de a ma opera. Este posibil ca operatia sa nu fi fost facuta bine? Am fost la contrrol ,am spus ca am aceleasi dureri ,tendonul eate mai imfalamat ca inainte de operatie si mi s-a dat un unguent cu care timp de 14 zile sa ma dau cu el si daca nu trece sa merg din nou la consulatie .Mutumesc frumos!
