Thanks for the vid! You mentioned the filter but wouldn’t you have to drain the pipes again to install the new water filter since I’m assuming you had removed it when winterizing?

Glad I found this video. We just bought a 2016 Redhawk 26XD. What do you do to keep the batteries charged in winter? We live in Vermont.

Thanks for watching but we remove the battery and charge it with a tender.

Assuming you put on the Water Tank 1st?
@herewegoagaincamping Жыл бұрын
Hello and thanks for watching. We do not fill the water tank when de-winterizing. We drain the water tank and bypass it. We are just trying to flush out our lines going to our sinks.

Great Video. I have exact same RV and your videos have been very helpful. Thanks! However, I am having difficulty getting all the antifreeze out. I did multiple fills and drains and flushes at the start. Not using a filter. Drained heater also multiple times. But still, even after multiple refills and use of the whole tank during our camping trips, I still get a bit of foam/antifreeze when I first start the kitchen tap after not being used for a while. I can’t figure out where this is coming from. I got the RV this spring when it was already winterized by the Jayco dealer. Has anyone had similar issues? Is there something I have overlooked ?

Thanks for watching and the kind words. That is strange but sometimes we have we flush our lines longer on occasion.

also do you need to fill City Tank too?
@herewegoagaincamping Жыл бұрын
We do not fill the city tank when de-winterizing. Flush the lines first that way no antifreeze goes into the tanks. After you flush your lines out to all sinks, then you can fill your water tank. Hope this helps.

How do you flip the bypass on your hot water tank on an rv camper. I'm new to RVs but not travel trailers. It's different. Thank you.
@herewegoagaincamping2 жыл бұрын
Hi and sorry for not getting back to you quicker. You should have valves on the hot water tank to close off the water to the tank. You may have 2 valves as that is what we have. Hope you got it figured out.
