仙台市内のホテル会議室にて、地震発生の瞬間を捉えた映像。震度6弱。揺れは3分くらい続いた。
シャンデリアが揺れ出し、地響きのような音とともに、揺れが始まる。
突然大きな揺れに変わると、室内は騒然とし、不安げに天井を見上げる人や、机の下に身を移す人たち。
一瞬揺れが和らぐ間を見て、何人かの人が、あわてて室外へと移動する。
しかし、次の瞬間、再びすさまじい揺れが発生し、室内はパニックのような状態となる。
さらに大きく揺れる照明、室内に飛び交う叫び声。なかなかおさまらない長い揺れ。
照明が点滅しだし、やがて消えた。室内は停電で真っ暗となり、非常灯の緑色の光だけが浮き立って見える。

A weak 6 on the JMA seismic intensity scale, the shaking continued for about 3 minutes. The chandelier begins to sway and with a sound like the rumbling of ground, the shaking begins. Suddenly changing into a substantial tremor, confusion breaks out in the room and the crowd is boisterous. Some are looking up at the ceiling uneasily and some have scurried away under tables. Determining the moment when the shaking settles down, a few people hurriedly go outside. However, the next moment a tremendous shake breaks out again and the room is in a state of chaos. Lights sway even harder and screams fly past the room. The long shaking persists. The lights begin to flicker and eventually go out. The electricity is cut off in the room and it is pitch black. The only light visible is the green emergency lamp glowing.
