The 250cc singles are the best long circuit category for people to go racing on a budget and still get to drive something very fast and exciting. Those DEA engines are great for being more kart-specific than motocross engines, how was their reliabilty?

Where do they get the 2stroke engines.. Tm dirtbikes? Any 4 strokes in karting?
@Gertdirt694 жыл бұрын
Yes there are 4 strokes in karting, there are the clone motors and I race uas karts (unlimited all stars) and it’s pretty much a super kart on dirt. We run 250 two strokes and 450 4 strokes. I have ran a kart with a crf 450 and my kart is a cr250

@@Gertdirt69 cool... I read yamaha is selling the yz 2 stroke engine as a crate engine now. How is your shifter set up... Hydraulic actuator on the engine case?
@Gertdirt694 жыл бұрын
@@BobbyGeneric145 my set up is different then the super karts because we mostly stay in one gear, so it’s like a foot shifter that has a long rod that attaches to it. It comes up a little bit higher than the seat

This guy driving is not using the corners correctly.. he's diving into the corner early and he's not using the track to its full potential.. he needs to put that front tire litterly on that white line and go into the corner wide and come out low.. I was a racing driver with national titles.. when drivers do what he is, it allows the guy behind you to start the pass coming out of the corner.. and if your beat on the stretch? Going wide allows you to attempt a pass on that guy because he took the corner shallow and it eats power.. all you do is tap the break and then go for the repass.. I could beat this dude.. and you can see it in the video when the number 1 kart passes the guy.. notice that he's driving a different line at 4:02 in the video.. watch the next corner. He's wider going in and he's using the full track..

Kind of agree, I sat the whole 18 or so minutes here watching what his in and out lines and gear selections, I guess he is doing a stack of things wrong. I would also say his gearing for this circuit is not right. That right hand corner at 13.26 is a horrible exit, he's losing 2-3 tenths a lap just there and by the end of that run probably another 1 or 2 tenths. Inconsistent laps every time. The kart's handling looks ok, I guess it's just up to him to so him to sort his driving out and selecting the right gearing. I would recommend working on your fitness, light jogging, bike riding (during the day when it's the hottest) light hand weight dumbells and building up your neck muscles ( there are many ways to do this just research it). I have 25 years of ICC kart racing experience.

But I would say he is not a cowboy driver and I would feel safe on a track with him, hope all goes well for him in the future, he can only improve from here

This is one of the trickiest circuits in the world in a go kart capable of 150mph. No one cares about your "national titles" or if you can beat this guy you monumental bellend.
@Dking863 Жыл бұрын
@@B__L it doesn't matter what you think! Actually it does! If you and I were to race? I'd beat you like a step child! Because you can't see it.. tell me what corner he's not taking properly. Painful to watch. Wrong gear coming out of the corners sometimes, late to apply throttle when exiting corners. Staying behind a slower driver way too long. Unforced error, running off the track. Looks like the chassis/tires not working because the driver doesn't feel confident enough to push it hard. If your chassis set up, tires, etc. are wrong it is very difficult to have the confidence to drive hard. Why is one kart or race car faster than another with the same engine? DRIVER CONFIDENCE. Set up the race machine so that the driver says 'this setup makes it easy to drive and push it to the limit'. Otherwise it's painful to watch the hobbyist driving. Maybe the tires alone were off. I only got to time 6:04 then had to stop watching it. . . .

Greg Chase, Greg you really know what your talking about don’t you, what motorsport achievements have you under your belt ?
@Greg_Chase5 жыл бұрын
@@sseymour9901 If you think his driving showed a lot of confidence in his vehicle, I'm sorry, you're wrong. The only way his machine was in excellent condition to inspire confidence while he failed taking advantage of it means he was 'pulling his punches.' If you watch in-car enough you know what to look for. I had my first kart at age 12 but that's got little to do with it, really. How quickly is the driver on the gas out of the corner? Does he over-brake? Any unforced errors? Any signs of staying behind a slower driver too long while the entire field in front of that driver speeds away, making the gap to make up worse every lap? If you see a driver very confident in the machine you will know it right away. Either this driver was not confident and/or he's an amateur just learning the ropes. - stay off brakes more than the other guy - accelerate as early as possible in the corner - get around a slower driver NOW, the field is running away from you in front of him - if you can't make the vehicle confidence-inspiring, work on your setup, tires, or get a new better handling vehicle Not braking as much as the other guy is a biggie. Not easy to pull off but a real game-changer if you practice it, get over the fear, and master it Brakes are for cowards and hobbyists . . .
