PRIMAL
The Primal from Dead Air Silencers is optimized for large bore and high pressure rifles, but versatile enough to even be used on your pistol. It's able to handle virtually every caliber you may own. The extreme versatility allows the Primal is accomplished by the large .46 bore diameter, as well as the 1.375x24 thread pitch in the rear portion of the can. This is the same thread pitched used by the popular Nomad series of silencers from Dead Air, and many other competing products as well.
For those looking for accuracy, the Dead Air Xeno system can be used. For those wanting speed and elegance, the Keymo mounts can also be quickly and easily installed. Aside from these quick disconnect solutions provided by Dead Air, they also make a variety of direct thread mounts. As this is an industry standard thread pitch, the Primal can also host a tremendous amount of 3rd party offerings. If the ability to use nearly every rifle mounting system on the market isn't enough, the new "HUB to P-Series" adapter is included in the box. This adapter is used to convert the Primal to utalize the same accessories made for the Wolfman and Ghost. Be it a piston system for you handgun, or a 3-lug mount for your subgun the Primal has you covered.
Just about the only thing the Dead Air Primal can't do is 22LR, but the Dead Air Mask can easily solve that problem!
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
The Primal offer's ultimate versatility, but more importantly it's Dead Air's first silencer designed for large caliber suppression. It brings them into the world if quieting down larger calibers like .338, but also silencing 458 SOCOM, 450 Bushmaster, and our personal favorite 45-70 out of a lever gun. Large and heavy projectiles at subsonic speeds are an absolute joy to shoot, and with Dead Air making them quiet it provides one of the most enjoyable firearms experiences out there. It's larger volume also makes the Primal shine on subguns and pistol caliber carbines. It can be quickly put on an MP5, B&T APC45, or an LWRC SMG, providing great decibel reduction, lower backpressure, and accommodating calibers larger than the Wolfman can handle. Combine this with the "Bravo" thread pitch in the mount and you have a silencer that fits many roles, and does a great job at them.

I had a lot of issues with the keymincro system. It ratchets on pretty easily and tight but it got sometimes it would lock up when trying to ratchet off. 50% of the time, it would just unscrewed the threads of the attachment instead of the ratchet itself. Kinda a pain when that happens and completely defeats the point i being a "quick detach" system.

is there a qd mounting solution where 1 mounting adapter would be on the primal but then you could have muzzle devices on a 45acp pcc, a 38/357 and a 45-70 lever action?

I have a Ruger American in .450 Bushmaster, threads are 11/16-24. Is there any way to mount the Primal on my boomstick? I haven't found one after researching for days. :(

I don't know if you've found your answer yet or not since it has been a year, but you need the HUB Fixed Mount 11/16-24, model number LT313 from Dead Air. They don't seem to make a muzzle brake or flash hider to give you Keymo or Xeno options. The Primal has 1.375x24 threads though so Silencerco makes an ASR Brake (AC1961, used with the Bravo ASR mount AC824).

I have the the keymo system on all of my guns. Does Dead Air offer a .45cal keymo muzzle device that fits a 45-70 lever gun?

@@DocSlothington Unfortunately not in 11/16-24. Most 45cal rifles are 11/16-24 (e.g. Marlin 1895)

I just bought a D A Primal, haven't received it yet but in anticipation....I would think a direct thread 11/16-24 would be best on my Ruger American 450 Bushmaster w/the Primal?? Would that be correct?? Thx in advance. D

I have this setup. The adapter DA sells works, but it's a terrible fit and does not screw down and tighten onto the barrel's shoulder. So the suppressor loosens up pretty easily without using loctite and really cranking on things. DA and I went back and forth on this with lots of pictures and no joy on my end.

another pro to direct thread is the best return to zero

I just finished emailing back and forth with Dead Air. Why don't they make a direct screw adapter for the Primal and a 14-1LH AK pitch? They referred me to someone else and I'm betting the company's lack of communication (plus I can't find anything on their website) means they have nothing that works either. DA must have changed ownership. Their lack of customer service these days, compared to 8 years ago or so, is pathetic. No more DA cans for me.
