That's not the reason, they have changed to a new free cosmetic collection to be given during the Holidays, the Celestial Sweaters. Realistically it makes sense to move towards a different free reward considering almost all survivors already have a Ugly Sweater, and Collab Character Ugly Sweaters can't be given as a free reward. This year they only would have been able to give two original survivors an Ugly Sweater, which isn't enough so they had to move towards something else. I think the Celestial Sweaters look fantastic, so I'm quite alright with this change and excited to see which characters get future ones and what animals their Constellations will be. Also many haven't realized that the Free Nea Skin is ALSO Celestial themed with it being a more advanced version of the Celestial Sweaters, which is very cool.

Do we know what the gameplay for the event is going to be like yet? Cosmetics are nice but I'd prefer to know more about the specific details of the event rather than just the reward cosmetics.

Old perk idea: Whenever you injure a survivor, one random perk becomes deactivated for 30 seconds. Cooldown is 30seconds.
