Gordon has the same issue Ash has being the game, they are too capable to be cowering and running away from things. The guy who beat the invasion on Black Mesa and faces off against the combine has no reason to be afraid of something like Trapper. Hell Legion couldn’t even hurt him with that suit on. Ash is similar, guy fights off against demons on the regular.

Okay, i just have to say, my favourite must be Gordon Freeman. Not just because i'm a fan, but in general. After all, he has limitless potential, so surviving in the entitys realm shouldnt be too hard for him, right? some people would say it wouldnt fit because gordon is silent. Silent, yes- but he has sounds when he gets hurt. But for the ones who likes characters with voicelines, maybe they could do the HEV suit's voices when he gets hurt or down. His perks is just fantastic in my opinion and could do some shakeup in the gameplay with "Considerable Nudge". All though, there possibly couldnt be much cosmetics for him. Maybe his scientist look, or maybe the black mesa look. saddest part is knowing that this collab likely will never happen. But this concept video was pretty cool, really really cool 🙏

As soon as I heard what Kingmaker did I instantly thought about swfs running 4 reassurances and camaraderie (the perk that pauses the struggle timer when a survivor is nearby) so the person could b on hook for almost the entire match while giving that boost to their team. Imagine a universe where Gordon refuses the Gman's offer at the end of Half Life 1 and the *"fight you have no hope of winning"* is him being transported to the entity's realm instead of being banished to Xen. That would have such a terrifying implication that the Gman is not only extraterrestrial in origin, his employers are also interdimensional in nature. A fight Freeman can NEVER win no matter how determined he may be simply due to the nature of the Void. It's an endless cycle of torment where if by some miracle you escape the level, you'll just be brought back to the campfire and tossed in a new one. Even if you win, you don't.
