Some notes - Midas blood does work with face flask, which can be used to trigger the cheese knife. What's more, *you will gain gold from it when you take damage to the blue health from tonic.* Given that it also scales at a ridiculous rate in the endgame, I feel like it'll probably be a sleeper hit. - Gold Plating would be good for endgame bosses, but since it doesn't scale off of max health, one hit from the spoiler boss will take about 60k gold or so. Make of that what you will. - Vamprisim, I will maintain, was insanely good. I know people said it was bad but it has a bit of a learning curve -- and if you pair it up with freezing or stun it's basically a free full heal every 30 seconds, which was just as broken as it sounds. That's why I imagine the devs reworked it, and this rework is definitely a type of nerf. It gives 2% of your health per melee hit, and 4% if it's a heavy melee weapon (which is why war spear got changed; since it attacks really fast, it would be kinda busted with vampirism). It's beyond me why they didn't just do a frenzy type of effect with increased health gain, given that with static health gains, the viability of vampirism is based on attack speed, which is hardly something I'd expect from a survival-scaling skill. - Gold kamikazes only drop gold when they explode, and only spawn around gold gorgers. One kamikaze explosion will instantly level a gold gorger up -- so the general idea with those two enemies is to kill the gold gorger and then profit from the remaining kamikazes by baiting them into exploding. Honestly, a pretty neat system.

Yesterday i tried the frantic sword with vampirism without notice that it got reworked. Feel like the maximum health reduction is permanently, i got like 5 or 6 brutality scroll but only got 400 max health after few times of using it.

Having to roll to proc crits is actually not so great as we kind of already have it in the form of rapier; focusing on rolling to deal damage means you might not be able to use it to dodge attacks in the brief cooldown, but then again being conservative about rolling lowers damage output which is why i do not like the rapier. The dagger-porcupack golddigger combo will have similar downsides plus requiring extra setup, plus no crits from parrying(unless greed shield which is also extra setup) plus shorter range so not my favorite.

I never really used survival because it felt too slow to me. I was really struggling to beat 4bc. I finally just said fuck it and ran a giant killer and war spear with some ice armor. I don't know how I would have made it through sepulcher without that war spear. Beat 4bc, then read a day or two later that the war spear was getting a buff. Pretty surprised, thought it was hella strong. I did notice that before I dropped a shield for the giant killer that the spear was pretty rough against the bosses I fought, so maybe that's the reason?

Dont you think that game got easier? I gave up on it because I couldnt pass the first boss. I was dying in the sewers all the time as well. Kill the Concierge once in over a year of playing! today was playing for the first time in a long time and was much much easier and more enjoyable but also my play style change. I was flying through the levels killing, jumping teleporting all the time with good flows.

I've tried making Old Vampirism work with some testing. I've basically kinda made it like a high risk high reward on my build with it as if I get low, I'll see if there's a opportunity for a lot of damage and get towards that (I usually get to half hp if I get a good reap). Some weapons do work with it (fast burst) but most likely it'll be like a burst heal or fail. The new Vampirism does sound like it's the same (haven't tried it yet), but with a lower risk. You'll still need to attack before the duration ends or else you lose a good portion of your health, but it wouldn't make it so you need to desperately attack something or you'll waste a huge portion of hp

I have a warspear built for you. It is warspear Giant Killer Hunter's grenade and any good survival shield in the backpack like the rampart and any survival secondary skill. Also Hunter's grenade will give you extra health and damage on 5 BC so that is why you take Hunter's grenade.

I've only used Vampirism in either Frantic Sword runs or Survival runs. Old Vamp drops your HP down to 0, so you just need to land a crit and let the remaining rally decay to maintain crits. Survival runs leave you much tanky so you'll be able to capitalize on regaining back your HP using Vamp

There is a correction that needs to be named. The bank shows up for the first time once you make it to ether the hand of the king or the queen fight. You do not need to beat them just make it to them on 0 cells
