Dead Cells How to Beat Hand of the King Boss Guide Overexplained Tips and Tricks with VeeDotMe
This video type was a long time in the making. I have gotten many requests for the next boss guide and I finally had the chance to put this together. I do have a lot of ways to improve this video style, so if you have any questions or comments, please let me know! Use this Boss Guide for Hand of the King No Damage or just general tips and tricks for How to Beat Hand of the King. TLDR for Difficulty from Easiest to Hardest in my opinion: Concierge 🔼 Mama Tick 🔼 The Giant 🔼 Conjunctivius 🔼 Time Keeper 🔼 The Hand of the King.
Dead Cells Update 20 brings a new biome to Dead Cells, an alternative to High Peak Castle. The Derelict Distillery is accessed through the Collector zone leading to High Peak Castle after either the Giant or Time Keeper.
Also introduces 2 new weapons, the Tesla Coil Turret and the Barrel Launcher weapon.
Dead Cells Update 1.9:
Lots of items & weapons have been nerfed or boosted, with the goal of opening up a wider range of builds, while not sacrificing what made the previous meta builds fun. If you want to know exactly which items have been changed and how, check out the patchnotes (link at the end of the post).
About the Dead Cells The Bad Seed:
Explore a relaxing Arboretum, wade through a noxious Swamp and take on a new boss in this new early game content designed to expand the Dead Cells universe and add variety to runs for people who want to support the development of the game.
So you’ll be able to play through:
The Arboretum: A relaxing and peaceful greenhouse inhabited by a peaceful clan of mushrooms, with an understandable desire to murder the Beheaded.
The Swamp: A noxious environment ruled by a band of tree dwelling mutans with pointy sticks, sneaky dart shooting frogmen and a bunch of deadly bloodsuckers.
The Heart of the Swamp: Domain of mama tick, if you’ve seen StarShip Troopers, you get the idea...
The two new levels and their monsters are alternatives to The Courtyard/Toxic Sewers and The Ramparts/Ossuary/Ancient Sewers, with the boss designed to be on par with The Concierge, so hopefully it’ll spice up your early game runs once you’ve played through the core game.

Thanks to your guide I was able to beat him in hard mode and only used 1 potion. I used a stalleto build around blood building items to constantly get critical and melted him quick I was surprised. It was blood bourn mutation vengance and resilience. Had a blood shield the syringe with blood effects and that spinning ring you forgot the name that last around 4 seconds. But that ring does high damage plus 60% on bleeding foes. So it all stacked up. Currently going for my 3rd cell. Oh and it was mainly a brutality build to 18 and like 7 on survivor the rest on tactics which was low #.

2/3 times I've beaten HOTK was with gold digger. it hits like a truck when you have 12000+ gold, which is a pretty easy condition to meet by the endgame.

I took a break from Dead Cells after I beat 4BC last year but I can still say this is a very well done guide If you're starting with the bosses (most) people struggle with the most I suggest you do The Giant next. I actually had a harder time with him than HotK :)

I already died twice to 1 BC HotK. Both times I brought the god damn owl, which was a huge mistake, considering that despite of me being able to consistently get the 60k door, I cannot not take hits on HotK

I brought pure nail if you jump on top of him an consistently get downward hits you basically cheese the boss. Hope this helps

I usually try to avoid looking at busted builds , but i never get good synergy (not never but almost) , i don't even have 100%++ on my forge so it becomes even harder to get that 40% on burn and i waste all my money on stuff that will never happen.

I think the all of the bosses is really easy i can beat the hand of the king really easy i am relax about it i ll give you a build (marksman bow,giant killer, giant bomb,heavy turret,rampart,necromancy,gastronomy,masochist,dead inside,for last to the giant (if you really bad at the giant you will have to last to the hand of the king) you have to take marksman bow,giant bomb,heavy turret from the cursed chest or legendary,rampart,necromancy,gastronomy,masochist,if you reached to the giant or hand of the king swicth weapons and mutations to this giant killer,rampart,two heavy turret if both of turrets are legendary or cursed,dead inside,masochist and necromancy for the astrolab, you have to change same type weapons from the custom mode).Thank you for reading this.

Phaser or Lightspeed + Hayabusa Gauntlets + a shield seems to pull through for me vs. HotK. Maybe less so on 0BC, it seems to do better with only 2 phases

I've had a lot of luck cheesing him with turrets, wings of the crow, and either explosive crossbow or electric whip, anything that you can hit him from above with. If you can combine this with complementary damage multipliers, you can just spend half the fight above him where he can't hit you.

I got to him the first time ever last night, lost that fight bad. I lost that round, and played another this morning and lost to him again. I didnt get to him on my 4th and 5th tries, but the 3rd time I fought him I ripped him to shreds! Easy win with brutality build. I had golden dual daggers with fireballs and bought a ton of perks for them. This guide helped! Thanks!

I beat him yesterday at 4bc with A green whip and an ice shield green Magnet nade and gaint whistle. I think it comes down to parry and not falling for his hit then jump drop combo.

Either a tactics electric whip buold or brutality build samurai sword with wolf traps messes the time keeper up. U can bring a shield of course too.
