Damn. People always write shit like this in comments but that pit is wild! And huge! Also respect to the guys doing security, especially shirtless guy, they seem to be enjoying themselves and they are smiling seeing the pit go nuts while still trying to keep people safe.

Love me some Deadhorse! Friends band opened for them at a place called Pik N Pak in ‘91. It was great growing up in Houston in the 80’s and early 90’s. Some great places to see shows. Vatican, Unicorn, Axiom, Fitzgeralds, sure I’m forgetting some.

Being onstage with Texas Legends Dead Horse that early in life..Epic as hell........and before seeing this...I thought I was legend seeing Napalm Death in 1992 at age 15.

@@christx3326 did you see them at the European Tavern and Gardens when the Toadies opened for them (crazy killed mingus was the first band)? Like a week later Toadies went national and were on TV. I think that may have been Haaga’s last show…could be wrong about that one though. Their shows at Axiom were legendary. Blowing the transformer routinely in July shows. Deadhorse shows were something special. The good ole days of Houston metal like dh and Imprecation, and venues like Vatican, Goats Head Soup, Abyss, Axiom, Fits, and Numbers….there’ll never be another time here like it. Glad some of it was captured on VHS.

@@johncoleman2053 6 feet under was started by Chris Barnes from Obituary. Saw them with Pestilence and Carcass. Anyway, love 6 feet under too. So clean and straightforward like the ACDC of death metal. How the fuck did I forget Napalm Death and others you mentioned...Anyway, we had a riot at a club here when Death came on after Pestilence dudes started throwing bottles and big glass ashtrays at Chuck S. and Death so those boys vanished. He was a wimp.. Some idiots started spraying fire extinguishers. No one could see and pandemonium ensued. HELICOPTERS AND MULTIPLE UNITS OF THE NINJA TURTLES ATTACKED...brutal night but exciting as can be. Houston cops cordoned off streets so fast my friends and I were behind enemy lines within minutes
