@@BOBINDUN yeah, I just played thought it. It felt weird. Like, why would an AI trying to save humanity only want rich assholes turned mutilated cannibals? And I am sure Hope was defiantly fake. The only rationalization I can come to is that the AI is some idiot tech billionaire who uploaded himself. The cult is him trying to build a virtual fetish harem for himself. The AI can barely pretend it knows what it is doing.

@@angelofthedead1886 it doesn't, trust me! But raw it got a somewhat sweet(ish) taste to it. Also does not taste like chicken, horse, sheep, beef, Tofu, fish or any meat replacement. The taste haunts my nightmares. Before anybody asks: Arm of an escaped convict(child molester/murderer if memory serves) in front of graveyard who got swarmed by others seconds after grabbing me & getting bitten.

They had the dlc already made when the game released. Most games have 80% of dlc completed by the time the game goes gold. Super disingenuous, but companies timegate content, and give us less is more approach, then force dlc approach since the sentiment isn't rational (Less is more, players dont want gated content).

this dlc really nails it in leaving us with questions. i'm not entirely sure what the cult was about, but after beating it 3 times, i would guess that the rich and powerful of hollywood had all gathered here to upload their minds in the ai so that they'll still b around when all hell breaks loose. but not all of them made it, given the loose heads. being made as some kind of cyborg was probably just a bonus for immortality, but all the latex and torture and eating flesh was just plain nuts

Why cant they make good boss fights? The pigman is just a crusher with a lot of health and Yong-Ho is just a screamer with a lot of health. And theyre both immune to guns because itd be too easy to just dump your ammo on them. Thats lazy design! At least the bride, the huntress, the actress, the clown and the test subject are your first encounter with that type of apex variant, making them a novelty experience.

@@s.o.q2914They should take a page from Monster Hunters book and use existing base models but still make them wildly different with different moves. What if the pigman starts as a regular crusher but suddenly pulls out his burning cleaver and swings it at you? Or when fired at, break into a sprint and shoulder tackle you, knocking you down and leaving you vulnerable for the swarming walkers? It would subvert the players expectations and force them to rethink their approach. I know, "the best sailors are on the pier". But I can't imagine the developers thinking this DLC up in the meetingroom and not at least one going "This is cap! We need to cone up with something new!"

Yeah, was wildly disappointed. In the beginning the atmosphere was uncomfortable and for the first time I actually felt somewhat afraid in a Dead Island game, (even despite being a straight up overpowered elemental samurai) but with the lack of any new creatures that could realistically challenge me I began to realise how superficial the whole experience was. Still fun but for what the dlc was,(no new enemies, weapon types other then crossbow) it should have been a free update.

@@NoriniaIts seems to be just a detour of the main story, but it does add Konstantin as another big side contender. I wouldnt say it sucked ass, but it does leave us with more questions than answers. And it raised by expectations in terms of the story rounding up as a whole. If the quality of the bossfights are an indicator of that, im worried itll end with a wet fart.

The graphics and cinematics are alot better in the new one i just miss the whole looting grind and exploration

@@cabbage2899 For me it's a quality over quantity. Yes the maps are smaller than they were in the first game but there are a lot more explorable arias. you can go inside just about every house see all the cool little details that aren't just constantly just recycled assets. and You have a lot better interactions with environments. About the only thing I missed from the original in this regard is having a lot more spread out quest Givers who aren't related. like that drunk who threw diamonds at you for champagne. I agree with you on the looting thing though. For the mods assuming you mean weapon mods and not game mods no two blows 1 way out of the water . Not only in variety but also esthetic granted I think most of the weapon mods in both games looked completely awful and would likely make the weapon worse not better but I am an amateur weapon design on my part time so I noticed these things . The special infected . Again I have to disagree two has far better special infected . Not only in significantly greater number but they also have better variety in their appearances as well as named bosses and even unique variants such as Becky the bride or Nikki the hunter . That being said I feel like they could've added the ram back in this new DLC . And it does center around bondage.

I loved the OST and map along with every single gimmick but one thing that pisses me off is the blatant RESKIN of enemies prior and calling them "bosses". If you're gonna wind up fighting that thing 100+ times alongside other fodder then IT ISNT A BOSS. Elite enemies sure sure, but make ACTUAL bosses. Unique animations BODIES and make it REPEATABLE

The heads in the DLC were all bleeding white blood so for the main character to do the same is a way of confirming that all that happened in the DLC was real and not a dream. That's at least how I understand it.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed enough with what they showed of the game. Reminded me too much of the first one, which was ok I guess but lacked variety, lacked creativity. At least the AI in this seemed like it might have actually been the good guy.
