Sam B's Build Skill Tree Lv 60 & 70 Sam B is basically a walking tank, It really not that hard to make a perfect build for him He only has two in my honest opinion Compare to the rest Only difference is how you play him on Dead island Definitive Edition. [Fury] Feel No Pain (Max) or (2 Points) This upgrade makes you more resistant to damage while on Fury. Grim Inspiration (Max) Kills with blunt weapons gain more rage. Smash Hit (Max) Pain Killer (Max or 2 points) Each kill while on Fury regens health when using this upgrade Devastation (Max) Effortless (Max) Maintenance (Max) Lights Out (Max) [Optional] Knockout time on Enemies Tackle (Max) Best skill to invest Allows you to open locked door quicker, Alternative ability to knockdown Enemies. Hammer Blows (Max) 30% knockout chance, good chance to put enemies into ground, Big Stick (Max) (Optional) 6% damage only applies on two-handed Such as Sledge hammers & Fireaxe Power impact (Max) Modified weapon have 6% damage which can potentially stack with [Big Stick & Devastation] Critical impact (Max) 9% chance only applies modified weapons Telling Blows (Max) (Optional) [Survival] Motivation (Max) You gain stamina whenever you get hit but by 30% Hardened (Max) [Optional] Melee damage reduction by -15% Picklock (Max) [Optional] Able open chest level 3 Deeper Pockets (Max) Bulletproof (Max) Perfect skill especially against firearm enemies for Dead island but riptide Barely non existence either way makes your character a bullet sponge to firearm enemies. Custom Maintenance (Max) weapon durability goes well with maintenance Gives modified weapon 45% durability

Nice builds! Is there any reason why you didn’t include the charge skill in any of them? Just imported my level 50 Sam B from the first game and noticed the new ability. I already have the tackle skill which is fun and useful skill to have especially with the stomp ability. Is there any reason to get charge?

I felt like charge isn't that good It essentially allows you to charge and push enemies away, good for crowd control but for me it. It not worth investing as a skill, I'm not saying it is a bad skill, but having tackle is essentially similar to charge, it bit overkill add more especially when tackle does better, not only that the amount stamina is not worth investing since especially Sam B as he doesn't generate a lot of stamina mainly a tank, so stamina is essential for him to keep up the brute strength. But i really it up to your playstyle, I would rather invest in other skills, and that is my opinion.

@@turbosprite2437 Yeah after trying it out for myself I have to agree, it's just not worth it for Sam B, I only put one point into it to try it out and to go for the achievement for getting 100 kills with the ability (awful achievement) tackle is just so much better and less awkward to use, not to mention it drains Sam B’s limited stamina and for some reason it feels like this ability drains weapon durability a lot quicker too,

​@@joea874​ To be honest with you that achievement one sucked 😂, i used a 2nd copy character just for that trophy once i had it, deleted my character, then focus on building best build.

⁠@@turbosprite2437In hindsight I should have done that, I ended up wasting a singular skill point on the skill, now my build will forever be imperfect but that’s okay this game is behind me now, me and my friend managed to complete all the achievements together

Sorry for the late reply, Don't have notifications for youtube comments Depending on which version of the game, My current Build is 2:09 [Dead island] 4:05 [Dead island Riptide] Short version: Xian Mei [Highest DPS] for Dead island John morgon [The Best Character] Purna [The Best Endgame character] Sam B [Good Tank] Logan [High risk but fun character] Long version: Dead island I find that Xian Mei is the highest DPS character in the game, Besides that, she gives out instant kills or can kill big bosses fairly quickly. The only issue is that she is Squishy [Very Weak] But in riptide, i find John Morgon is the best DPS & High Crit character. Not only that, the dude has good survivability. Sam B is good, but usually, he is mainly just tanking the hits, Downside, especially how blunt weapons use a lot of stamina, most of blunt weapons aren't that good and rarely found. Purna is basically the best all-rounder endgame character. She just has all the tools, and not only that makes the guns pretty fun and useful. Especially if you get god weapons. Logan honestly, he is pretty good as well, gives you all rounder damage for all classes, not only that you get pretty high stamina, so you get a small amount survivability compare to the others, pretty unique 😂 throws things to get high dps. Downside, just don't get overly attached with your weapons or have similar ones as his boomerang has a 50/50 chance, and chances you will lose your weapon quite frequently.

Is Sam B good with Katana's?

Short Answer: Katana he fairly okay but durability will be low. Blunt weapons is his specialty He built like a Tank, Good for survivability But not so good with stamina so use him wisely. Long Version: Most characters They are universal good with any weapon. But by saying that some characters have extra bonus based on their characters, Sam B Is mainly a tank character not a high damage dealing character, unlike Xian Mei, Blunt weapon is primarily his specialty if ever gonna use him invest on finding blunt weapons whether two handed or one handed ones, Two Handed weapons are mainly good for knockouts and crowd control but downside they drain heaps of stamina, so it best to also have a blunt one handed weapon as well. His character is mainly to take the hits and dish them out, Katana are good for quick kills or wanting to damage big opponents, the big downside is the durability, So you will consistently repair and they will cost a fair bit, the closes one that decent to use is a Universal Two-Handed Fireaxe, but even so blunt weapons will be your best friend for Sam B because of his specialty and passive abilities your durability will be high. Example: katana = 68 durabilty Blunt weapon = 216 Durability This just a example but basically your weapon will last longer then using any other weapon. Overall all weapons are good so i wouldn't worry about not collecting katana or even using them. Hopefully this helps.
