the scenes with george and reggie talking together should literally be their own movie or episode as they're the only parts worth watching in this movie and its where you can feel the heart of the series trying to shine through.

As a start, a huge thank you to the uploader for helping out those of us who aren't able to rent/buy it. The movie though is the most upsetting thing in the history of cinema. It's almost like they took random people off the street, let them read reviews of the original series, and try to figure out what the show might've looked like in a movie form. I know OP asked us not to bring up Daisy, but what about everyone else in this movie?!?! Every actor (including George and Deloris - typically fantastic actors) were absolutely horrible. Honestly, I watched this movie hoping I would have a better feeling of conclusion than I did when ending the series, but now I wish I'd never seen it at all.

Me too but I've been waiting for this moment for so long!!! I Was freaking out when she told heR!!! In the Series, I expected her to come out on the Finale of the Halloween Episode and i thought about the forgetting when talking to her mother and came to the same conclusion, that she had just frozen up and had a brain fart. Especially when things started to unfold about Rube and his personal life and things like that.

When they try to contact their family and tell the truth, memories fade, like when she tried to tell her mother way back when. Now she easily tells Reggie who she is? This movie is awful. I miss Rube. This Daisy sucks. Cameron is horrible. I miss the show. Lol

Bryan Fuller, the creator of the show was mostly responsible for that rule as that happened very early in season 1 when he was still in charge. That's why there was a tone shift between the first half of season 1 and the second half and the big tone shift between season 1 and Season 2. The realism of the show(or at least the rules that tried to make the show's reality closer to our reality) started to fade when Bryan left the show.

In the series, george tried to tell her mom who she was, but when she tried to tell her a memory from her childhood, she couldn't remember what it was, as if fate had erased it from her thoughts. But suddenly now she can tell her sister, whats with that?

Worst thing about this movie is it broke the rule set forth in the first two episodes: George can't talk to her old family and tell them who she really is. All of a sudden in this movie, she can basically tell Reggie everything. There are no limits anymore.

Well, there's two things about that: 1. Cameron doesn't care about the rules or the repercussions 2. If Cameron hadn't have messed up Hudson's time of death, George wouldn't have had to blow her cover

true, the show didn't ever spell it out for us. But there is a point were prior to the occurence with her mother she asks rube about the subject, and he simply said you can't... or something along the lines of that. The way he said it however, made it seem as if he meant it just wasn't possible. So then when then when the scene with george and her mother happened I just put two and two together.

It was implied that this would only occur if you attempted to get in touch with people from your old life. Mason was talking to people who never knew him.

Alright, I don't understand... yes, I don't think the new actress for Daisy fits, but that's actually not the biggest problem, her character is also completely wrong, and even if you forget the character development, she's still all wrong... were the same writers for the show involved in this film?

They do, which is why this movie doesn't make sense. Even though they have two of the writers from the original TV series, they obviously didn't watch the series at all, or have forgotten everything they wrote about it (which also doesn't make sense. I'm a writer and I remember almost everything I've written).

I like the concept but it's so poorly executed. I don't like the forced "IM GEORGE LASS" - wasn't there a WHOLE episode about how that can't happen? o.O I like reggie + george getting together, but it's sooooo forced and disregards the series canon. Either way, thank you for uploading :) It was fun to watch this and see my favourite characters again.

It would have made more sense for George to get to know Reggie as Millie. Having George visit Reggie's job a few times a week to build a relationship where George's conflict is how far does she intend to take the friendship and Reggie's conflict being that she see's Millie as a sister figure and eventually becoming suspicious of Millie being George. That could have played out in many interesting ways. The way the movie played it out is so forced like you said.

@MinniHowl No, actually, we wouldn't. Because not only was this Daisy a terrible actress, but the WHOLE character was completely different. They took all of her vulnerability and intelligence and basically everything that made her a dynamic character and left us with a vapid shell. It's just disrespectful to the character and her arc on the show.

Who ever wrote this is not clever at all. This show is like a complete disconnect from the entire series. Very disappointing. Love the old cast which is still here except Rube and the original daisy. It's all bad scripting, lacks the magic it once was...It reminds me of Arthur 2 Love on the rocks. It ruined the magic of the original. Too Bad I Loved the first two series....

She did stalk them. But when she tried to tell her mom who she was, she couldn't remember suddenly. Perhaps the writers made up the rule that if a person a reaper knows is in death's path, they can talk to them and remember everything.

It was forgetting memory. It's heavily implied and scene was reinforces it. If a reaper could simply tell their family that they are their deceased love one it would defeat the purpose of the show. George could have simply returned home and not suffer the heartache. By divulging information only George could know her mother would likely eventually be convinced. It makes since that they can't or else why would the suffer their current lifestyle. Why not just go home with a second shot at life?

I would argue that Reggie sought out George where in the original George sought out their mother. Fills in the plot hole but this movie does have flaws.

I've since come to a better understanding, Reapers simply can not reveal themselves to family, to people who knew them. That was what was established in the series. Like when George returned home knocked on the door ready and eager to spill it all to her mother, but when she answered she couldn't get a word out. So my point still stands the movie was sloppy in allowing George to reveal herself to her sister. It makes the whole 2 seasons prior pointless because she could have just went home.

ok ok, you got me. I guess that was just my take on it. Regardless, in my opinion, this movie just doesn't quite fit in with the history and flow of the show. I don't think it is as intelligent as the series and the new actors replaceing the orignals just doesn't sit well with me. The movie was supposed to help bring the show back but judging from everyone's take on this movie, it's pretty much dead and burried.

this is so stupid. A grim reaper cannot reveal themselves to the living, if they try they lose their memory during the process in which they try to explain anything of the sort. That was established in the series... If they wanted to have Reggie figuree out that Millie was her sister they could have done it more cleverly in so many ways while still adhereing to the already perfect logic of the show.
