We have a Clearview Mall in Metairie but it’s not dead sears closed 3/10/2019 the mall is an hour and a half away my closest mall is 30 minutes away Edgewater Mall in Biloxi Mississippi

It’s something how some of these malls have the same name. A lot of ours are dying in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

This mall was never really a good mall, and here's why. Butler is a blue collar town. And not long after this mall was built, the steel industry took a massive nosedive. So right after this mall was built, it became part of the Pittsburgh rust belt. Pullman Standard went out of business (didn't that later become a mall circa 1994?) and ARMCO cut way back. I remember going to Clearview with my parents in the 80s and there were many vacancies. But then they still had Sears, Hills, Penny's and Bon-Ton. Of course NONE of them still exist. So yeah, this mall never enjoyed the "good times" like other Pittsburgh malls like Ross Park, Monroeville, South Hills Village, and yes the now defunct Century III. Thank for the video, I haven't been in this mall in like 20 years!

I Thankyou. It’s like some places shouldn’t have a mall. The malls now are just so different from when they were booming back in the 1980s. Even the look of them now and the stores . It’s just not the same going to the mall. One place I miss is Hills. That was and will always be my favorite store. Even with century 3, wow what a nose dive that place took

And I remember the old Butler Mall, which was west of town (This one is north of town). Butler Mall is no longer there from what I understand, replaced with a stupid strip mall probably.
