Was one of the first Dead Malls I visited in 2023 after finding you and other content creators involved on this topic, so sad that it is closed now.

I love seeing that vintage wing. I’m sad to see this mall closed. It has a lot of vintage aesthetics to it.

The vintage north wing was truly one of a kind.

This video was beautifully made. This was my childhood mall. So sad to see the end of it. So many beautiful memories made there.

I salute Andrew for making this video. Although I have never visited it myself, I kind of feel like I know the place based on all of your stories❤ I know how special this place was to you and your family. Therefore it will always be special to me!!!!!

I appreciate that! And even though it’s sad to see Shenango Valley Mall now closed, at least this video is a way to look back at what the mall once was.

We would stop here everytime we were up there to see the holiday displays for Kraynaks down the street. The mall was already doing bad and then Kohls and a few other big box stores opened around the area of the mall. If those big boxes could have opened in the anchor slots, the mall could have rebounded. There’s also a great burrito place across the street near the First National building “hot head burrito”.

Kraynaks is always amazing! And yeah, I’m sure all the new development around SVM didn’t help the mall either. Thanks for watching!

I wonder if Crown and DeBartolo possibly fought over building here in Sharon / Hermitage considering how close it is to Youngstown?
@ERA_Productions10 күн бұрын
Honestly could’ve been a possibility.

How do these "real estate groups" make any money. They seem to buy struggling malls and run them into the ground. Not exactly a profitable business venture
@ERA_Productions6 күн бұрын
Yeah, I don’t really get it either. They should spend their money trying to fix their malls honestly.
