Good lord, it still hurts to see it gone. It hardly had any traffic, but it is another piece of my childhood gone. I have so many memories of going there with my family. I watch Mr. Peabody and Sherman, with my older brother there, he and I used to window shop in the gamestop and dragons den. I even used to get new school clothes with my mom at the Dillard's. Thank you for documentating it's final moments. 😢💔

I watch a lot of dead mall videos and this is one of the better ones I have seen. I appreciate the vintage footage and I remember going here as a teenager. Soon Woodland will be the only mall left in Tulsa! Sad but i understand it. Times change. Thank you again for an awesome video!

Well done! The inclusion of vintage footage and an explanation of why the mall is closing were much appreciated

thanks. i wasn't sure if it would land properly for viewers, but i felt like it was fun to juxtapose with shots of the structure in its peak days.

Spent so much time there...I remember it thriving..the theatre closed before COVID. The mall was once an open air shopping center called South Land

There's a lot of dead malls channels but this is pretty nicely done. Really loved the music, camera work, and the spliced in nostalgia. Subscribed. Good work, sir.

When I was in high school in the early 90s, my buddies and I would make road trips to Tulsa just to hang out at its many malls. Woodland Hills was our favorite, naturally but we would haunt Eastland Mall and the Tulsa Promenade from time to time. Even then, the Promenade always seemed sort of off to me for some reason and gave me weird vibes. I can't remember many stores that appealed to me and even though there was a large arcade on the ground floor, it had weird games. Plus there were folks that worked for a marketing firm based in the mall that would aggressively try to lure you into their office to take surveys with the promises of gift certificates or something. It was just a weird place.

yeah i remember in the later 90s the mall in muskogee started doing that survey nonsense. i had a friend who did it, and i went once, but yeah it ended up being more of a "oh shoot here they come, quick duck into claires!" type of thing after that.

Depressing to see all these once thriving malls closing down for good. Promenade was hanging by a thread for what seemed like a decade. It was only a matter of time unfortunately.

Never shopped much at Promenade but the wife and I used to go to that theater quite often. The theater across the street really hurt them for sure. Way way back I think there was a tunnel you could through to get to the shopping center across the street but that's kinda vague. Oh well, long done and gone now.

I don't know what it is about malls that are named Promenade in California we had a few but one closed similar to Tulsa Promenade it was called Westfield Woodland Hills Promenade both of these malls had their similar going outs. Promenade in CA was bought by the LA Rams owner to be turned into a training ground while the former Macys at the Tulsa Promenade is being turned into a Hockey & Ice Skate rink. You should do video on the mall across the street the old Southroads mall, i've heard the current owners could possibly give you a tour. Don't let the open stores fool you above, below & certain parts of the building are still the old mall it's like a mausoleum crypt.

Omg I remember when this mall was still fully active. This and Eastland. The last time I went to the Promenade was about 3 years ago just to check it out because I hadn't been there in years, and I was surprised to see that the entire second level was completely dead. At that time, the main level wasn't doing so hot either. I knew then that it was only a matter of time before this mall suffered the same fate as Eastland did. Tulsa had 3 malls, now it's down to 1, Woodland Hills. I wonder if that mall is ever going to die lol.
