In today's video, I tried out Dead Man's Tale post buff. This has been one of my favorite weapons ever since its release despite all its highs and lows. Now, they have brought back its damage buff and increased its hip-fire rpm to 140. The gun is feeling much better and it's safe to say that it will have a spot in my inventory once again.

When I was done with DMT I finished using it with about 68,000 kills and I was honestly saddened by how much it was nerfed and I've even lessened my time in PvP because of it. Was it a strong gun? Absolutely. However, seeing this video gives me some motivation to use it again. Even back then I still feel like there was some issue with the hipfire accuracy being weird when you were flinched. Your reticle could never leave them but the game's mechanics don't allow you to duel back.

I get what you’re saying about the weird flinch behavior while hipfiring. That happened to me a few times during the play session where bullets just stopped hitting when I was taking flinch even if my aim seemed good. Gun still feels good though especially when you get the jump on people

@@jpmorgan6146 I think its with the Hipfire themed weapons in general. You try using LW which I also have about 5K kills on I notice it on that too not just DMT. I often found the most success if I miss the first shot of the engagement I just have to disengage and reset because with DMT or LW missing 1 shot can often result in a trade or loss 80% of the time.

I just made a saved loadout for dmt with a adaptive smg in the energy slot,theres not even a build with them i was just curios how thin a titan i could make and slapped those on in the weapon slot and actually did pretty good.

Hey Fra. Ace perk plus kinetic surge is no longer working for me, is this a bug with the artifact or does radient + mori + 2 surges not = 120 headshot dmg anymore for y’all? Bummer If not was my favorite build

It should still do 120 damage with the buffs you just listed so it’s most likely a bug

The hip-fire having better range and body-shot forgiveness than a precision instrument igneous while also being 140 rpm is ridiculous on paper. I'm really curious if the new AE helmet-mod + steady rounds can make it viable in the air on non-dawnblade classes

I don’t know about non dawnblade classes but it’s certainly viable on dawnblade now. Maybe if you were using something like knucklehead radar on hunter it would be viable. And obviously lion rampant on Titan is an amazing paring as well

It’s honestly so good. I’m just waiting on the KZbin titles to ramp up its usage and receive an incoming nerf. Literally my go to sweat gun for when people start playing weird. Especially because my god roll iggy is no longer a god roll since I didn’t play since season of the wish

Why invest so much into handling, does it help with hip fire? I thought range and stability helps with the hip fire. Speaking for console players btw

It’s definitely smarter to spec into range and stability on controller and mnk. I even had handling getting wasted because of ophidians because I don’t typically use dead man’s tale with ophidians. So, I was kinda throwing in the video

Yeah I think they did and other than the slight increase to the magnetism falloff scale they didn’t really back that claim

The fact that cranial spike does nothing if you are aiming really ruins it for me. Especially outside of pvp.

I think the damage buff and stat bonuses from cranial spike apply while ads although I’m not even sure anymore. They definitely used to back in the day

How do you get catalyst in final shape. It says playlist activities

I thought you get it from beating presage on legend difficulty but maybe they moved it to the ritual activities

@@FraDestiny that’s what I thought, I was just looking throug the catalyst menu to see which ones I had missing and how to get them and it said deadman’s playlist activities. Must be a final shape change

@@FraDestiny it was both. The small circle in the middle it use to register headshots more and better at the bottom of the circle. When it first came out u literally hip fire aim for their hair or just right above their head. And everything register as hs

How do you get this weapon in the final shape?

You need to wait till presage is the weekly exotic mission in the legends tab. And when you complete it you get the weapon. Then there are more steps to upgrade the gun that require you to replay the mission

dunno if i’m trippin but the hipfire feels slightly more difficult on controller. its prolly not though im might just be blaming the smaller crosshair when i miss 🤣🤣

Dead man’s tale is worse on controller I believe. To the point where bungie was saying they were going to improve it on controller at some point but they didn’t seem to do anything controller specific with this buff
