that was the point of unleashing it, he wanted to make hellboy sympathetic to his cause

Filmsparks but it makes no sense. He essentially doomed the forest god knowing that humans would kill it. Why not set it free somewhere it could repopulate? He didn’t give a fuck about other mystic beings. Just getting his damn army. He even said he’d be willing to hurt his sister.

This scene is so sad... it really bring into light the Prince's point, that forest God had just as much right to live as any human, but it was killed just to protect the horrible species that is responsible for so much destruction.

I find it rich that the prince is shaming humans for killing the last forest god when its his fault for casing its death in the first place.

Did you even watch the movie ? Human cut down forests, pushed the elves out of their land to build shopping malls and parking lots because of their greedy nature. They were the reason why there's only one forest god left
@Blast22245 жыл бұрын
Cate4life of course he watched the movie. He’s saying how fucking stupid it was for the Prince to sacrifice the last forest god just to make a goddamn point. He knew the forest god would be killed knowing how humans are yet he brought it forward anyway instead of setting it free somewhere else.

@@Tn089-b6g And yet they blame the humans for forgetting about the ancient pact because of countless generations living and dying until lore becomes legend becomes myth becomes forgotten.... how exactly is that humans fault? If the immortals who still remembered the pact in living memory couldn't be assed to make themselves known until they were completely fed up and ready to wipe the humans out, that's on them.

As a swede who grew up with both the concrete jungle, and the oldest forests in europe, I feel pity for those who've never experienced these things. When I was 8, I was walking in a pineforest so dense as to kill all vegetation except the pines themselves. But then... A clearing, a small clearing. The sun was shining right through the roof of the forest unto this small spot and it was *alive*. There was a small leaf-tree, blueberries, all matter of wild-flowers and forest-orchids. All within a small 2x2m area. Like a island of life within this dense old magical land. When the forestgod moams, I feel so sad for it, for it reminds me of how so many of these things are lost unto mankind of today.

Save the few that would celebrate the return of the elven world, maybe the Golden Army's destruction of the humans and their civilization would have been for the best. :(
@valterfara50275 жыл бұрын
The problem, is that the Elven world was already long gone. What Nuada wanted was impossible. Destroying the human civilization would only bring the death of two worlds instead of one. That's why the Elven king didn't want another war.
