Exactly. Doa dimensions ruined her. It was stupid that the doa 3 part of the story wasn't mainly centered on only her, but Hayate too. Hayate was more a main character than Ayane in that section of the game. And that retcon of Genra being evil willingly and going to doatec for power made things worse. What was even worse was that Ayane didn't defeat Genra by herself like in the original doa 3, Hayate was also there taking her spotlight.

@@blaze6477 Unfortunately, everything went to Hell after Itagaki left, and I don't think including Hayate in the Genra battle was Itagaki's intention. It made much more sense that Ayane fought Genra on her own. He was her (adoptive) father, so she felt obligated to be the one who puts him out of his misery. Not to mention in her DOA3 ending, she is alone when cremating him and sheds a single tear, with Hayate and Ryu nowhere in sight. DOA Dimensions had an interesting concept by including what happened behind the scenes, but some of the elements strongly differed from what we were led to believe, and not always for the better. DOA5 was also very disappointing story wise, and DOA6 was flat out greed with its DLC (I refuse to even buy that game).

Well they tried to softened her with doa3 but at least she went back to being a bitch in doa4 which was great. But honestly I didn’t mind dimensions. It gave us more closure on why she became such a bitch. I have a problem with doa6 making her a total waste. She is the kunoichi of death or whatever, known for her ultra brutal and violent fighting style (of hajinmon, which she is the heir to) and what she was in doa6, is just pathetic, not worth the title female tengu of miyama amongst others.

start a tas normally, after EVERY fight, verify the Movie, see a Desync? you will see. With "R" you can change to Replay/Record Mode, Load State before Desync, fight, verify...

I just read this about this game, from Wiki, I wonder if it's true.... "Dead or Alive 2 was released on March 30, 2000 as a launch title for the PlayStation 2 in Japan. This version added new stages (Crimson, Koku An and Prairie) and new unlockable costumes. The game engine ran using Field Rendering instead of Frame Rendering, thus it appeared much more aliased than the Dreamcast ports. This version was buggy and prone to lock up in Versus mode. Itagaki and his team were only given two months initially to produce the first PlayStation 2 port. At the end of this, one of his managers asked to borrow a copy to play, but instead sent in to a production factory. Itagaki was upset by not being able to finish the game on his own terms and fell into a depression during which he briefly considered quitting the industry"

I played the demo for dimensions first... not too sure what was going on but loved it... Played DOA 2 after... absolutely no clue what was happening at all... just gathered it was after Kasumi went into the helicopter. Wasn't until i got the full dimensions game that I understood what was going on... No i play dead or alive 5 and either way, still can't master half these moves
