I've always been intrigued by the whole idea of replicating various sounds on bass, and emulating synth bass has always been one of the tones that piqued my interest.
Dead or Alive and 'You Spin Me Round (like a Record)' was released in 1985, and still received heavy play in clubs right up till the early 2000s when I was growing up as a teenager.
Seeing as how a lot of the 80s synth bass tones sort of emulated 70s slap bass tones, it made sense to try and copy the chorus drenched sounds of the era with a detuner patch, and the TRB1006J was the only possible choice due to the high notes at the end of the bass break after the first chorus.
Here's my humble nod to another killer tune from my childhood.
