As a day 1 fan I actually enjoyed Dead Rising 4 a lot. Loved the Christmas theme and the Frank Rising dlc as well as the super hero costumes were a blast to mess around with. Would love a full blown remake of the original game or a reboot to the series Edit :: 🤗🤗🤗

As a diehard Dead Rising fan, I’ll be honest, the mechanics in 4, I didn’t like so much. Plus, there were several glitches to the game that didn’t make me feel like playing the story over again, like I usually do the others. Though, I will admit, I liked the story and frank rising dlc.

Tell me if im wrong but in the First DeadRising game, you can have up to12 Inventory slots. In Dead Rising 2 you had 5 inventory slots. In deadrising 3 im not sure? And in the DeadRising 4 you only have 3 Inventory slots.

Both 1 and 2 had 12 slots when fully upgraded. 3 had 8 slots when fully upgraded. 4 only 3 slots and fixed.

I really loved the zombie slaying aspect in the first 2 games but found all the other mechanics in the game tedious and outdated beyond belief. Having to level up before actually tackling the story? Check. A ticking mission clock in an open world that begs to be explored and played in? Check. Replaying the beginning multiple times as you level up and get better instead of increasing the difficulty AS you progress through the story? Check. Ridiculously frustrating psychopath boss fights who despite still being human, can inexplicably take a full SMG clip to the face? Check. No auto saves? Check. Escort missions with survivors whose AI is somehow dumber than the zombies? Check. Ultimately, I found them to be a great concept but with very poor execution.

The whole point for the series is improve and use what you to survive, you need to adapt and get better to plan your routes and understand what’s going on, to say it’s outdated is doing it a disservice, not to mention it’s the foundation of what makes this series unique amongst other standard survival horror zombie games, I understand being frustrated with the mechanics like survivors and such but the game is honestly still great, sadly the later games like 3-4 lose this charm fairly quickly and are as cookie cutter as they come
