I had my "Death gun" and it was a heavily modified javelin gun with a repeater that shot 3 times and lit shit on fire along with the R2 being able to detonate them, i always got "woahs" whenever i did coop, PS3 times were good times...

Dead space 3's pulse rifle is the most satisfying pulse rifle in the franchise. The sound design is fantastic and it has a real weight to it that the DS and DS2 pulse rifles didn't have.

Well that pulse rifle secondary wastes ammo faster than you can, WHAT THE HELL! But on the plus side, Dead Space 2's pulse rifle secondary is more versatile than the first game.

Really liking the whole weapon craft stuff they had in DS3. But not fond of the whole "universal" ammo they had for all weapons instead of the variety of ammo. They could easily have different ammo depending on what Tool part if used for the weapon(like Plasma Energy carts for ones that has Plasma Core).

Great video, man. Thanks for uploading it. Brings tons of good memories. Goes right to my favs. I don't know if you would agree, but I'd love to see the standard weapons using the rotatory head or tip, like the plasma cutter. I remember crafting a line gun with a rotatory tip and, even if it was simple, it was awesome. Maybe it works for the ripper too but I can't remember well. If you could include it in this showcase, it'd be awesome and appreciated.

Might not be enough mods with an active effect like that. Most are passive, like increasing mag size or the HP of your co-op partner. Though there is the stasis/flame/acid/electricity mods.

How is it confusing. You have 1 weapon on the top and one on the bottom, and you can add 2 attachments to the weapon and upgrade it with circuits.

Lightning gun most powerfull weapon in this game! +2 speed/damage and acid attachment and you 90% unstopable. +3 speed/damage and you 98% god 😅 If lower tip as grenade launcher - you 110% god in game 😅

@@still_guns The inaccuracy issue, if i'm not wrong, is because of the classic aiming setting, same with seeker rifle I think. You can change aiming to crosshair to fix it

The revolver is quite powerful but it's only good for close range mop ups and that knife helps to however that knife actually obscures your sights I've shot high so many times with classic aiming I just do it crossbar manual and then I can 1 shot weaker necromorphs from about 50 yards away

I love how if you slow down the video when Isaac is reloading one of the Heavy Frame Military Engine weapons, you can actually see the box magazine eject like an En Bloc clip, as Isaac inserts a new one, slams it into position, and then racks the large charging handle on the left side of the gun. 2:23

Then again, every weapon in the game doesn't make sense. Weapons that project flames, weapons that electrocute things, weapons that are used like bayonets... All use the "universal ammunition" system. And melee weapons shouldn't require ammunition, PERIOD. Though, it's completely possible that the ammo system used in the game isn't canonical in any way.

I'm going to list some craft able weapons in this game that are really over powered. 1) Evangelizer Carbine a semi automatic rifle with a underbarreled shotgun on a SCAF frame. 2) the Tesla gun with the underbarrel Line Gun. 3) The Seeker Rifle with a rocket Launcher underbarrel 4) Fully Automatic bullpup rifle with grenade Launcher underbarrel. The most overpowered weapon in DS 3 is the foam finger

Maybe it would have been amazing had the devs been given more time. Feels like the crappy weapon designs and universal ammo might have been a time constraint issue. Because deep down the idea is phenomenal, u as an engineer can literally build ur own weapons. However the universal ammo, and very blocky almost ps2 generation weapon designs, and microtransactions means games balance was completely destroyed by it. Such a shame

I’ve gotta say even tho DS3 isn’t as good overall compared to the gems of the first two games, it completely built the most beautifully intertwined weapon craft system I’ve seen in gaming so far. The Tau Volantis necromorophs, fighting unitologist solidiers, plus normal necromorphs, and the environments especially the frozen set peices!!!!! Gameplay was great with what the game was trying to become more action focused.

Weapon Customization ruined dead space 3. You could easily abuse the system and create unstoppable weapons. Not to mention they all looked soo bland, sloppy blocky designs. Dead Space weapons always looked phenomenal but ds3 killed that quick. Even the standard line gun, ripper, and force gun got a horrible redesign

With universal ammo why bother using a plasma cutter or pulse rifle when u can one shot with a missed launcher? Or use a stasis mini gun/ force gun. With the abundance of ammo it didn't matter if u used ur most powerful weapons on weak enemies because u always had ammo. But my original comment holds true THEY WERE BUTT UGLY. The weapons designs for these modular weapons were all blocky, chunky, uninspired, ugly, low detailed crap. Go compare the weapons from past games then come back and tell me dead space 3s were better, u cannot. But aside from all this the weapon customizations ENTIRE purpose was to facilitate DS3's microtransactions. That is the ONLY reason it was introduced, and no this isn't an opinion former developers have said in interviews. They were literally forced to come up with ways to monetize DS3. So yeah weapon customization RUINED DS3.

Also the designs for dead space 3’s weapons yeah they looked bizarre but it kinda makes sense since they’re using weapons from over 200 years ago. Also you don’t need to buy the micros transactions, you can play the game normally and not even notice them

@@cappedminer369 yeah I had such high hopes for Callisto Protocol. Such a shame because it had potential, I don't understand why they focused soo much on melee combat. But I agree with u, the guns there are soo basic. And you are correct u don't NEED to buy microtransactions but that doesn't undo the damage caused by it. For example the weapon imbalance. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying DS3 is a bad game, it's a legit good game. I would personally give it a 7.5 to a low 8. But it's just nowhere near as good as DS1, DS2 or DS1R.
