huh. never realized dead space 3 didn’t give exploders, guardians, cysts, stalkers, or tentacles, mummified appearances like they did for the rest of the necromorphs. as to why they didn’t go all in with mummified necromorphs and fresh ones are mixed with the mummified ones is beyond me.

I feel like exploders at the very least wouldn't be able to explode when mummified, unless they released a cloud of toxic gas that hurts you or makes you lose oxygen when you stand in it

Found the EA fan boy. Weapon customisation and the shitty crafting system was garbage. Older games had nodes to indicate how powerful a weapon was. Here it's screwed up. Not to mention crafting had added microtransactions

I'm not sure why people hated DS3 so much. Pacing wise it wasn't as good as DS1 or 2, but I did really enjoy the way they introduced both old and new weapons and enemies. I've only played through it once, but I have fond memories of it. Gameplay wise it just feels like Dead Space, but with a few new features. The writing wasn't bad either! I quite enjoyed it. If you're a little open minded you'll enjoy it. There's no need to be a hardcore purist. Games don't improve if you treat them that way. *Edit:* Also, the addition of more automatic weapons was awesome. I loved all the various automatic guns and upgrades DS3 added. Feels powerful without being OP.

I loved the hallucination scenes and showing the dead aliens that the necromorph species had killed before us. Honestly it captured the cosmic horror element perfectly. I loved it as the feeling of isolation was fantastic. The feeling of despair at seeing the dead aliens captured dead space's essence perfectly because if it can take down more intelligent aliens than us, then what hope do we have? I think people overlooked the best elements from the game, because of their bias towards EA. Sure EA is shitty and greedy, and their influence obviously didn't help, but otherwise this game was still brilliant. People only look at the surface level of DS3. It's a lot deeper than people think.

I liked 3 more than 2, I know most don't. Loved the enemy variety and snowy/winter setting. Not a perfect game and a little heavy on action vs horror, but still super fun

I think 3 is less scary from issacs perspective since he just went through hell in the first 2 games so he’s a vet at this point.
