Also… One thing that stands out in dead space is ‘resources are scarce’ when… they have Faster than light travel- lots of energy, giant mega cities on the moon you can just walk out in, magic powers, entire cuties out of asteroids. Oh and dead space 1 mentioning a secret fleet of ships by the church, and 2 somehow making it so they store so many bodies in storage, being constantly frozen… Dead space 3’s tech (sovereign colonies) kinda says how resources could be stretched, given some poor logistics… gardens on the Ishimoura but not on other military ships? Did they not grow food in the Sovereign colonies? If there is a reboot they should make it so that a war is what makes the resources so scarce, and that the Ishimoura was just being built to ‘open net’ asteroids (like how you use a big net to catch a lot of fish) for mass mining at the time. I would find it more entertaining if the Ishimoura was seen as a seed ship leaving the planet rather than a minding ship- from those on Mars, the moon and other colonies because they weren’t up to date, would leave the perception of a power vacuum and a pretty good story for people to write the early series in.

One thing I wanted to point out, and not to be an ass but because you’re obviously an enlightened individual and I’d want to know - our sky is blue not because of bodies of water or anything else on the surface for the matter. Sunlight hits our atmosphere and scatters, a phenomenon known as Raleigh scattering. Basically, waves of electromagnetic radiation in the visible light spectrum that appear as blue hues to us are shorter and smaller and scatter more so the blue dominates when we look at the sky during the day. Okay. I hope this wasn’t annoying. Again, just something I’d wanna know. Because it’s cool! ✌🏼

The more I analyze and reanalyze the lore of the red marker. Key people receive warnings as to what would happen if they don’t stop the meddling of mankind. Another theory of mine, is that the brethren moon cleanse those that aren’t worthy for the next stage by making them become one with it. Since humanity failed time and time again. They are next on the chopping block, but if they had listened to the warnings. They could have unlocked the power of the markers while avoiding the wrathful moons. Again, just a theory of mine.
@Xeno-The-Wanderer2 жыл бұрын
could be interesting but based on their behavior unlikely, from what I understand a lot of stuff was rewritten over the course of the series with a lot of stuff with dead space 1 kinda forgotten or rewritten due to that especially with the almost antagonistic relationship the marker has for Necromorphs. There are times where I wonder if the initial idea was the necromorphs were a response biological beings have to the Marker with warnings by it to stop humans from going further since most of the hallucinations it causes seem to be telling people ways to stop the outbreak though it has been said later it was playing the long game by implanting the blueprint in issac but still it seems like something is amiss and was forgotten with the relationship between the Marker and Necromorphs

Before I start, thank you for this _awesome_ timeline vid, it’s fun seeing all the horror laid out nice and neat (unlike the poor sods who got Necromorphed)! Moving on, after thinking about it I have a few problems with the series as a whole: The Markers - why is it that sometimes they’re getting in peoples’ heads telling them to “make us whole” while others they’re telling people “you can’t let them take it (Marker), you have to put it back”? If their end goal is making the Brethren Moons and then ultimately Convergence ... why tell some to put it back, which contains the outbreak and ultimately hinders their goal? Necromorphs - same as above, the Markers want to create Necromorphs via the Corruption then make Brethren Moons which will then bring about Convergence ... so why is there a “dead space” around the Markers that keeps what is essentially their soldiers away from them but allows people like *Alyssa* to get close to it? Why is this like some Reverse-Indiana Jones thing where putting it back on the pedestal _stops_ the madness and keeps it contained? Now sure, I get these big rocks are tough and super hard to destroy but why take the risk? Just makes this nearly-omnipotent force seem pretty stupid! Isaac - it’s long been confirmed he can destroy the Markers, yet time and again those who _want_ the Necromorph crap to happen will kidnap and use Isaac leading to their own downfall ... Oh don’t get me wrong I like Isaac, he’s my second favourite character after *Alyssa* but he’s proven to want to stop the space-zombie bullshittery once and for all so why let the only real foil against your plan, who won’t be swayed or threatened to your side, live? Isaac’s tough but a simple bullet to the head is all that’s needed! *Alyssa* - small gripe but damn dude it’s pronounced AH-LISSA, not Elisa! Again thanks for the vid 💙🐱💙

The markers might have residual consciences from previous victims, as to create new prime markers require the makers to die and be absorbed into the structure, as is showed in dead space 2.
@deathclawington25852 жыл бұрын
The marker was man made so it could have been engineered to have something like a dead space but I think it exists so that the necromorphs can’t touch it. The marker was used to contain the final boss and the necromorphs overall so of course it wouldn’t want them to take it until it’s lifted from its pedestal which then caused the necromorphs to wake up and for the marker to call for people to make it whole. I think the pedestal changed the signal to make people stay away from it and thus made people not want to move it. Nichole i think was used to trick issac into getting close to the marker so that it could invade his mind and allow for people to make markers from him. Earth gov used issac because he was very intelligent and as we are told the markers signal affects people differently. He was their best chance to get reliable plans for a marker. He was only used once by earth gov to make the marker scene in dead space 2. With the knowledge issac gave earth gov created small replicas of the marker for experimentation. Issac only draws markers now

You can see the inconsistencies (not in your storytelling) with the storyline. For example at 1:32:33 it’s established Nicole killed herself in the comics, but shortly after she’s “seen” as one of the survivors Alyssa, Ramirez, and Samuels saved. This is further harped on when she asked the survivor (that looks like Nicole) if she had a boyfriend and she agreed. Totally makes sense that they would redo the series to make everything match before continuing it Resident Evil style.

I believe the marker on board Aegis was designed to suppress the recombinant wave and keep the mutations from happening, so the signals translated that coding into pressing importance of not moving the marker, since it would let the recombinant wave resume growth and mutation of fresh flesh

1:24 if Aegis VII really was that far away it wouldn't be in our galaxy anymore... only a minor thing tho...dw abou that 2:00 the earth's atmosphere is blue from below because the blue light from the sun gets scattered a lot and thus seems to come from all directions. Aegis VII's Atmosphere absorbs blue light and scatters red light more... probably due to a different chemical makeup or more thickness than earth's... also no big deal I guess

People around make the S.C.A.F. looks like an enemy faction of the Earth when in fact they enacted laws, quarantined sectors, and even made the ultimate sacrifice to prevent convergence in Tau Volantis thus halting humanity from completely destroying itself. In the end, our curious nature will be out downfall it seems.

If they had the technology to make new arms, why did bourgeois have a metal arm? Also, why were the necromorphs so unlike the usual variety on the obanon? Why does the marker change from being the size of a full building to maybe a good twelve feet or so? Dead space is so inconsistent when not represented by the games.

The games have the same issues with consistency.
